Ok so I am about halfway done with my sunroof conversion and I figured there would be some people that would like to know that the 5th gen assembly with glass and all is about 11 lbs heavier than the 4th gen assembly. Ill post pics when I am finished.

yeah it's definitely heavier.

I hope you know that you might have to shim the whole roof assembly to make it flush.

Yeah I knew that I had to shim the whole roof, thanks for the heads up that though.

Alright well everything was going good to get the whole 5th gen assembly in including the slider until I tried to open it and noticed that one of the pieces was broken and it would not open properly. so I had to take it back out and tried to fix it but I couldn't. I ended up just swapping the glass. It wasn't that hard once I went that route. So here are a couple pics.

If you want to have the slider you gotta get rid of the high mount brake light, only way to have a 3rd light is to have the spoiler with the LED.

Yes I knew that. I was prepared to put some LED's in the third brake light housing but I also needed the 5th gen assembly to be functional but one of the rails was broken so I just put the glass the 4th gen assembly and brackets.

Just thought I would update with some new pics. Only real difference are the wheels. I still need to drop it but I gotta save some money first. Well I am obviously not a photographer but here goes...

Thanks man. What should I do about lowering it? I want to keep the wheels that are on it now and if I just get springs I'll blow the shocks right?

I would get quality coilovers. You should really search the forum about lowering your Lude. There are many great threads about this subject. Just make sure to do as much research as possible.
