thanks guys...

It had outter wheel well rust..and rocker panel rust...

it wasnt bad until i removed the tails/bumpers & took out the interior... There was holes waiting to get punched through the floor. I could poke a screw driver through with ease.

some pics of the devastation

It doesnt look too bad to most ppl... but the space right to the right of the d.side bumper support mount is a huge hole. I have duct tape from the inside to prevent the paint from going through while i was priming it for welding. Gives the appearance of actual metal in the pic, but not at all.

I had 1000's in estimates for oem replacement parts.

- driver & pass. side rockers.
- driver & pass. Side 1/4 panels.
- Trunk floor pan.
- tail light pan assembly

i was gonna do the work myself, i went to school for auto collision repair, but this car wouldnt have gotten done by the end of 08' at the pace it was going.

3rd gens are so sexy. I loooove the flip-up headlights. One of my best friends had an '88 Si 4WS. I learned to drive stick on it. *tear...*

very clean 3rd gen. One of my goals is to be able to have a 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen. Do you plan on getting any foglights for it?

that would indeed be nice. I want to get a 4th gen someday... i dunno how i feel about 5th gens though.

The light setup in the front bumper already incorporates a fog light stock.

IM not real big on the add on fog's unless theyre a oem option. with the 88-89's they had a different front bumper with fog lights lower down.
like this bumper..

thanks
i bike and snowboard. i was intending on using it for such things. never got around to buying the mounts & the car is currently broke down. Plus i just purchased a 5th gen this past thursday. So this 91 is getting put into storage and staying there for the next 2 years or so.
