Alrighty, so I've been looking around this site for quite awhile, and I've never actually posted anything. I must say, you guys all have some sexy cars, I absolutely love the almighty Prelude. I've wanted one since I was 15, and it was impossible for me to get one due to me being a kid with no money. My first car was provided to me by my father, and it was a 91 Accord, and I definitely loved that little brown machine. Well I've had the Accord for awhile, and back in January of this year my car was stolen while I was at work, so that definitely made the start of this year blow. Well after searching through numerous vehicles we finally found a 2000 Prelude, and it was in awesome condition. The only downfall was the check engine light was on, and that was due to the EGR acting up, so we fixed that up, and then it had some problems with the valves. So we ended up replacing them, getting the head cleaned, and we replaced a couple things under the hood with new stock parts. The only thing the last person did to the car was put an AEM cold air intake in there, so we cleaned that up and put a new filter on it. So here it is, I have a "stock-ish" 2000 prelude, that I plan on pampering lol.
Here's the worst part, the last person that had it had these decals put on, and they feel permanent. we've tried getting them off and they definitely won't budge, they really piss me off haha.
Well if a razor blade won't get them off, I guess the glass has been etched. If it is indeed etched, you will have to purchase a new window to get rid of it.
Part# is 73511-S30-901 - Honda GLASS, R. QUARTER $78.52

Yeah they are definitely etched on there, I've tried numerous times to get them off. The decal is on both rear windows, it sucks but they aren't too too bad until I get extra money to replace them. I need to get my windows tinted asap though because I'm in Arizona and it has no tint on it whatsoever.
Yeah I know, the wheels are definitely eh, they have some rust on them, and yeah that one is definitely facing the wrong direction haha. I was planning on getting some enkei's pretty soon here, just gotta find the right ones.
Definitely diggin the seats. Clean ride man, do your best to keep that body is as perfect condition as possible. One of the cleanest ludes ive seen in person had only a drop, wheels, and the optional lip kit. Stock spoiler, hood, trunk, etc..
Enkei Rpf1 look pretty good on the ludes if you get a good offset.
I enjoy the seats as well, and they are in really good condition. I definitely need to get some seat covers though for the summer time, the summer heat and those seats will not mix well here haha. Yeah I'm just going to go for a clean look of course, I might drop it, i'm not too sure yet but I'll take suggestions on what to do next. I want mainly performance, and a smooth look.
Yeah I just checked those out, they do look pretty clean.
I also like these Enkei WDM's alot right now too.
My current checklist:
clear up the headlights because they are foggy
try and see if those decals will come off with some special procedure
purchase some wheels
Alright, over the past month i've had a few problems with it, but it's all been fixed.
I have some ideas to make it look clean of course, but right now I want to focus on performance first. Pretty much everything is stock, minus the cold air obviously, but I definitely have some time and money that I'm willing to put into it. Any suggestions on where to start?
Awesome, do you have any suggestions on the header and exhaust?
I really want to do cosmetic stuff, but those damn decals on the back windows drive me insane. Every 16 year old kid with a civic seems to pull up, see that, and want to race.
as far as a header goes PM Kronn for a hytech replica header.I love mine.As far as exhaust goes its really whatever you like.I went on youtube and listened to various ones before getting an OBX twinloop muffler with 2.5in piping and highflow cat and resonator.

Yeah I have checked out different exhaust, there are a few that I like. I just need to finally choose one, and order it. Do you remember how much the header cost?
I'm finally going to replace those back windows to get rid of those terrible decals, and I need to buy new headlights. My front right headlight is beyond cloudy, I have scrubbed, and buffed, used solutions, it's just really bad. The left one was bad, but it now looks awesome. Any suggestions on that?

Wet sand them with a really fine grit sand paper then buff them. works great but its alot of work
try wet sanding them using 2000 grit if u can find it or 1200 grit paper that cleared my lights in a second.
as for mods, start looking in the classifieds on here, i suggest you start looking for the oem lip kit, start at least with the front lip it makes the car look alot better. also try some fog lights, everyone goes for the JDM fog lights as they cover the whole area unlike the USDM fogs, but the foglights can be expensive. but if you want in ebay there are 1 to 1 replica JDM foglights sold. they sell for 46 bucks plus shipping. i got some of those foglights and they work great. here is a link
if the link gets expired and you want another just pm me and ill get you the link, just be careful you dont buy the foglights with the plastic cover which will melt.
Yeah so I just wet sanded them for quite some time, they do look better but there is still a light yellowish tint on them.
I've been looking into a few exhausts but nothing that I'm totally set on yet. I'm also contemplating whether or not I should drop the car at all
You live in AZ. Drop the car.
