KLR Rabbits 1992 Prelude Si

Hey everyone! My names Aaron. Joined the site since i thought it was the thing to do since i have owned 2 preludes. Im kinda doing this to show a build up. I just bought my second car and im building it as a Street/Track/Daily Driver. More or less i need a good reliable car that can get me where i need to go. Ill start off and show my first lude.

1992 Prelude Si.....1st Prelude, Pics below are after i did my magic. The car was Automatic and i decided to leave it that way since it was hard to make money for a swap when i was away at college.

I bought my First Lude for 500 bucks, needed a suspension, all the calipers were frozen and the motor was locked up(spun main cap). So i started by getting a nice solid motor. I ordered a JDM H22A Auto swap. Spent a little time with the suspension. Got Tokico Hp blue struts and Tokico Lowering Springs. Bought all new calipers and got a set of Rotora Drilled/Slotted Rotors and Hawk Pads.

Alright....thats basically a summary with my first lude. I sold it since i was tight on money and i have two other cars. Also the car was boring and fun at the same time. Automatic if you know what i mean. Anyways on with the story....

My newest Lude i got almost a month ago for 800 bucks. Cleanest one i have seen around my area, well actually all i see is 5th gens. A few pics, didnt get any pics before i started shredding the car.

Well i started ripping all the useless junk out. Stock intake system and resonator in the fender-well behind the front bumper, and the intake bypass box thingy.....

Worked on it for about a hour and then pulled the motor. It was knocking and i decided h22a time.

Me being stoopid....I want VTEC!!!!

Since im waiting on my motor and all that jazz i started on a Wire Tuck...lot of before and after....

I have been using Simple Green to clean the engine bay. The car was driven 189k miles and nothing has been replaced on the car, well the starter and alternator look to be the only thing replaced on the car.

^^Man i actually was in the same boat as you. I couldnt find anyone that had them or said they were good. So i ordered them for 600 from Weaksos and put them on. I was going to get a spring and strut combo but the cost out did the cost of the coilovers since i was going to have to buy new mounts and hardware with the struts and springs.

Friday i got the other two ball joints put in the back knuckles.

Got one back lower control arms bushings out. PITA!!!
