Just another Black 5th Gen

Just picked it up about a month ago. It just got painted so it's waiting for the final buffing and then I can put the emblems back on. I'm planning to grab some JDM fogs soon, just haven't decided on whether I want them clear or yellow. Also planning on buffing the lenses on the headlights a bit. Rims gotta get repainted and I need some lug nuts. Interior cloth is much darker than the pics show.

I don't know how I feel anout the Eurolite blue gauges, what do you guys think? They were there when I got it. Only mods I can see are an AEM CAI and a Apexi muffler.
I know I'm missing the window trim on the doors, new ones are on the way.

Please excuse the setting for the pics, I didn't feel like driving somewhere nice to snap them. And sorry about the dumpster lol.
No pics of the engine bay right now, it needs to get cleaned up first.

Included some pics of my Stang just for the hell of it. Yes, the Stang is dirty, sorry about that as well.

Looks good, have you considered getting an oem front lip? I love the way black ludes look with tinted windows

Nice prelude. The blue gauges don't look that bad, but that's just me.

I think the gauges look good stock or like that. Paint looks great, like pIERCE said..."Man I wish I could afford a paint job." I would go with yellow fogs. I have smoked ones and I wish I would have got yellow, and look into a lip kit. Makes it look much cleaner. Keep it up

just do a type-s front lip. it's cheaper that way.

looks good though.

btw, reset that maintenace reminder and always fill up with premium fuel. what it says on ur gauges is wrong.

Thanx for the tip on the fuel, I was wondering about that. I wasn't sure what to put it so I was putting in mid-grade, I definitely didn't want to put the low octane stuff in and have the ecu retard my timing and stuff. What's the comp ratio on the H22?

The type-s is the smaller lip right? The one below?

That's the one I like, anyone know where to get them cheap? Or if someone makes a replica?

Also, are my needles supposed to light up at night? I notice that my needles don't light up at all and my odometer and trip meter are also not lighting up. I wonder if the PO disabled the stock lighting when installing the blue gauges or if he messed something up in the process.

P.S. Thanx for the possitive comments and your suggestions

Oh, and about the paint job...I know a local guy (in case any of you are close) that will do an even better job than was done on this Lude (this one has it's flaws, you just can't see them in the pics cuz they are very minor) for about a grand. He painted my Stang and did a HELL of a job.

Under your stock gauges it says on the Premium Fuel only. Also should say it on the inside of the gas door.

As for compression, it's 10 something.

For the lip, the pic you have is the Type-S one. You won't find one cheap though sorry to say. It will be cheaper to get than the full OEM accessory lip kit though by ruffly $700. They are on ebay all the time.

The needle's, they should light up orange. They are clear plastic and get lit from the back just like the stock gauges do. They use the same bulbs.

Previous owner must have disconnected or took bulbs out for overlays he put in.

Now go and reset that maintenance minder. To do so, stick you key in the slot to the left of it and push it in just a bit and it will turn green once again. It goes from green to orange to red over about 7,500 miles I believe.

Thanx for the info Honda4Life

BTW, I was a bit bored at work so I decided to chop the Lude up a bit and see what it would look like if I painted the stockers bronze and lowered it about 1.5 to 2 inches.

What do you think?

I don't know if I can go that low though. At least not until I check and see why my exhaust scrapes speed bumps when I have a passenger or two. I might need to fix a hanger.

While I was chopping I got curious about the bronze XXR518s below and pasted them on to the lude to see how they look. Car is at stock height in the pic though.

I'm surprised I haven't seen them on a Lude before.
