biggest mistake i ever made was taking my car up to austin for that one year at UT thats where all my door dings occured and austin roads sucks, ALMOST as much as houston roads. a bunch of scrapes too because my car was too low. luckily i got my rims after i moved back to houston, or else they would have been stolen i will never ever go back to riverside

car looks good man
hey, i don't know if you remember me, but I was the kid at ATXPreludes meeting that you were at about a year ago. my car looked a lot different then.
houston roads really are awful. i have friends in houston and those roads are ridiculous (at least around the bel air hs area
rims really get stolen out on ricerside? luckily, my car lives in a garage at my house in NW austin off of mesa
having a prelude and going to college can be a concern
but there are some precautions that you can take.
i learn about this after my old accord was almost stolen.
always park where that is always plenty of light.
always park where everyone can see your car
never hide the car at the corner of the parking lot.
the more traffic that passes your car, the better.
never park your car at the school's parking structure overnight.
hide all your important belongings
jackets, CD cases, calculators etc.
plus, any sort of bags....you don't want a curious guy to break through your window.
as a warning, this is what i saw at my school's parking lot once.
YIKES
I have been taking my car to school with me all 4 years. My college is really good with parking though so we don't have any problesm at all. Knock on wood. We can't really tell you if you can take it or not. IF you have no problems them it will be fine but if you have people breaking in all the time, I would leave it at home.

and also, if your HU has a detachable face, TAKE IT OFF. i got lazy one time and didnt do it, guess what happened? got stolen. this was in houston though, while i was eating at a freaking restaurant.
When I was at University of Missouri with my car I had no problems. I parked in the garage but generally towards the back and in a spot that was on an end (only one other car could park next to me) Actually I got to know a lot of my friends through the garage because we all had the same idea and would park in a group most of the time. We would work on the cars occasionally in there, but you are limited to what you can do without electricity.
Originally posted by Mr.Badguy Yeah most people that are in college are too mature to do anything to your car. Just find all the best parking spaces where you wont bottom out.
you would think they would be too mature it all goes out the window when theyre drunk though
