I'm Back! New Pics Of The 03' Accord V6 & 1 pic of the Prelude!

Hey I'm back after several months being on the d-low! Below are some updated pics of my 2003 Accord V6 Coupe (nighthawk black pearl) with the OEM front lip and the new AEM V2 cold air intake system. Also I upgraded the sound system with an Infinity Basslink (self-powered 10in sub), Infinity 6x9s, Infinity Component system & Alpine 4-Channel amp.

As for the Prelude... back in October this lady with her big country Ford F250 pick-up used the turning lane as a passing lane and as I was coming out of a private drive-way she smashed into the Preludes front end and while her truck only suffered a minor dent my whole front end was ripped apart. Total damage... $12,000 but the car made it! It was repaired and I drove off with a new look. Can we say... Mmmugen! I just got the car back and will be taking more pics. I'm still waiting on one thing tho... one of the Advan Kreuzer wheels was damaged and as usual still waiting on it to come in from Japan. Ordered the replacement wheel in November and it's already Feb and still no damn wheel... I'm not a bit suprised after buying two sets of Advan wheels in the past couple of years. I'll take more pics of the car when I get the chance.

AlexLude,

The V6 Accords don't have the i-VTEC only the inline 4 Accords. I have the 5spd Automatic V6 and it came with a very restrictive intake system while the 6spd V6 already had a sports tuned intake system. Basing my opinion on my butt dyno the Accord loves the AEM V2. The car pulls hard at all times and feels/drives so much better!

FiLLuP,

The front bumper on the Prelude is an authentic Mugen piece. I also got the Mugen side skirts but I couldn't replace the rear skirt & wing b/c those were not damaged.

I never really cared for the new accords... but you, sir, have changed my ways of thinking.

I still dislike the sedans... but that coupe. Whoa mama! Hot stuff indeed.

Thanks for the replies. I knew I would be loved by my fellow Prelude owners! The Accord still doesn't compare anything to the Prelude. The Prelude just feels more sportier and I would take the Prelude over the Accord If I had to choose between them.

Anonymous_Luder,

Yeah the front bumper & side skirts were ordered from King Motorsports. The front bumper was $1265 & the side skirts were somewhere around $867. Pretty expensive stuff!

Dave,

Yeah it's the law here in Washington State. If I were to be pulled over b/c of the front plates I would probably be given a fix-it ticket for the tint and most likely another ticket b/c my car is to low

silverbullit2K1 & ImportObsession,

Yeah at first I really never cared for the new Accords but I happened to drop by the dealership just to look at and I got hooked. Especially since seeing the photoshop pic by TOV with the Accord Coupe and bronze Advan Kreuzers.

Yupp, thanks to the Ground-Control sleeve coilovers lowered on *ahem* factory suspension. The 2004 Models are already out and currently there are still no aftermarket shocks for the new Accords. So far the factory stuff is holding up pretty good and it feels like it's getting better.

Eibach just came out with some spacers and I'm thinking of using some 5mm spacers to move the wheels out more. The wheel offset on the Advans are 50mm and adding the spacer will move the wheel offset down to 45mm so that the wheels are flush with the fender wells. Also next time around I want to go with 235/40R18 tires instead of the 225/40R18 I have now.

Another pic of the front-end and OEM front lip.

Some ideas Drew, maybe to look into in the future.

- clearing orange reflector out of the headlights
- HID's
- OEM kit sides/rear
- doing something about that pink in the tail lights

Just a few ideas...

how about some jdm fogs. they seem to use the coupe front bumper on the sedan over there (inspire), so looks like they would fit. they fill in the hole completely, sorta like the lude.

nice mugen bumper [jealous]

Exactly, I wasn't a fan when they first came out but that is very nicely done with the kit, drop, and rims... looks very mean. I actually just saw the kit for the first time yesterday and it made me do a double take. THat would make me do a triple take!
