Thanks for the concern guys, I'm guilty of being an idiot and riding without proper attire too. It's one of those "not going to happen to me" mentalities which is compounded by the fact that it's just not "cool" to be geared up for casual riding. Pretty lame excuse for not taking the precautions to possibly save our own lives, but that's the way it goes.

And people like you two are why we have a required helmet law in california.

Fully geared even if im going down the block for a "test ride". If its too hot for leathers, its too hot to ride. period.

but nice toys

There's no helmet law in South Dakota so helmet wearing riders are the minority. I was thinking about what you guys said though so I wore one when I rode today. It actually made me enjoy the ride a lot more since I didn't have the wind/bugs/rocks in my face so maybe I'll make a habit out of it.

I got the Telefonica off ebay for $5,900 w/ 3,500 miles. You can see in one of the garage photos there is a black Honda Shadow. That was my old bike that I sold for $4,000 (same as what I paid for it a year ago and I put 6,000 miles on it) so I moved up for $1,900 and basically had the previous bike for free

Nice! Man... I want a bike too! Seriously tho we had a member on www.V6performance.net a site for us V6 Accord owners was involved in accident where some guy rear ended his 03' V6 Accord Coupe at 150mph and was thrown off his bike. He was found face down wearing no helmet (didn't have on from the beginning) well... they found him with the back part of his head missing.

But yeah... what's the cost of being insured having a high-speed bike? If insurance doesn't kill me I may just pick up one of those bad-boys.

Insurance sucks no matter what if you have good coverage, but with just liablity it costs me $320 per year. I'm about to turn 21 (this friday!) and have a clean record. I'm insured through Progressive and I didn't shop around so you can probably do better, but I'm not complaining either
