help me pick rims for my s2k

I'm going to pick up some 17s for my S2K. It's on '02, Sebring Silver Metallic. Those of you who know me know what I think of bronze, black, gold, etc on cars, so nobody suggest anything but silver please.

I was originally thinking of something like this, that the wide flat spokes might complement the lines of the S2K:
VOLK LE37t :

But I don't really like them. I have always liked the OZ SuperLegerra, they are reasonably light, come in the right size, and are cheap.
OZ SuperLeggera :

But the color doesn't really grab me and I think they might be a bit spindly looking. Another rim I've always liked is the SSR GT1. These are 18s or even 19s I think, but you get the gist :
SSR GT1 :

The front runner, though, are these guys. The silver they come in is very light, which I think will complement sebring silver very well. They are incredibly light (13.8 lbs for 17x7.5 and 14.8lbs for 17x9.0) and a shop has two sets in stock in the right offset for a very reasonable price.

VOLK CE28N"

I'll probably put 225/45ZR17 S-02s and 245/40ZR17 in the back.

What do you guys think?

not true, they discontinued the s-02 pole position but they still sell the s-02, which is the oem tire on the s2k.

yeah i missed that; it looks like everyone is going with 255 in the rear when they go to 17s on the S-02. doesn't look like an ideal solution. i may get some re-01s imported; they come in the right sizes and are a better all out performance tire than the s-03.

most everyone with the s-03 on their s2ks are not happy with it; i personally liked them on my prelude, but

If money is not a concern. How about the rims I have? Advan Kreuzer Series 5 (silver metallic)? The Kreuzers would compliment the S2000 very nicely. Sorta like the SSR GT1 but nicer. It's about 17lbs per rim for 18x7.5 and I'm guessing it's almost 18lbs for the 19s.

I know your looking into 17s but IMO 18s would be a better option.

Here some other wheel options (Some wheels are in the colors you don't want):

S2000 with Mugen webs (not sure on the name of the rim tho but it's by Mugen)

Feels rims?

Advan RG (bronze)

Probably not your choices of rims but oh wells... the S2000 is a nice car!

BTW, forgot to mention what rims I like...

Either the Volks or the SSR rims are a good choice.

some interesting choices there; i like the kreuzers a lot, and they probably would complement the lines of the S pretty well... but they don't look like they come in the right offset (especially for the rear) and i was really looking for something LIGHT. they're not heavy, but definitely will slow me down a bit, even in 17. do you have the weights specifically? i didn't see anything definitive. i definitely don't want 18s - performance is the top priority and the amount of rubber left over to keep the diameter stock will be a killer on city streets.

the feels are kinda what i originally envisioned on the S, something sorta blocky and solid. after seeing a few pics, i'm back to a simpler, small spoke look i think. i like the mugen rims, but they only come in bronze. if they came in silver i'd probably do that simply because i trust them on the fitment.

price is not a concern. anything less than $800 per wheel would be fine.

Go with the GT1 man. They look really classy on a S2k. Not to mention I'm going to get a set myself.

definitely not. it's perfect as is. besides the usual concerns about driveways and HILLS and so on, i don't like what i've heard about it performance wise. i think honda knew what they were doing on this one.

i'm surprised nobody likes the CE28Ns....

i really don't like the TE37 - the spokes are too flat, too blocky, and they are just such a cliche.

i'm thinking more "classic" than japanese tuner fad.

i wonder what else is out there besides these 4 that come in the right size / offset and weigh less than 16 lbs for a 17...

Schwett,

17in Advan Kreuzer Series 5 weigh in about 15lbs per rim. I had the Advan brochure but my dumb-ass lost it. It had all the specs for every Advan rim on it as well as weight etc. I do remember that the 17s were 15lbs per rim tho.

I like the CE29Ns but to bad the Mugen web like rims don't come in silver. Maybe they do but not too sure. Every thought about getting bronze, black, etc. rims then getting the rims professionally painted or powdered coated to silver?
