Going to pick up my 2000 Prelude SH today! Pics inside!

Well after looking for a little while I noticed that most of the Preludes I came across for a good price were beat all to you know what. I looked at one 1997 SH that was all to pieces, oil leak, rear bumper misaligned, tail light had condensation, and trunk had condensation! I finally ran across a 2000 Prelude SH that was owned by a 69 year old woman. She has owned it since new and has all records of routine maintenance. The interior looks like it just rolled of the show room floor, sun roof works perfectly, paint is GREAT, and best of all, the car only has 59,000 miles! I ended up paying $10,500 for it, which is dead on blue book. I know that's high, but I don't mind paying that for something that has been taken care of! Here are a few of the pics she used to advertise with. I will have many more for you later today or tomorrow! I look forward to entering the Prelude world, as I have never owned ANY Honda! Any recommendations on stuff I should check over or maintenance that needs to be done around this mileage? Thanks for all your help and enjoy!

Wow, fantastic find! Congratulations and welcome.

Damn! I wish that my Prelude was that clean. If you've never owned a Honda then you're in for a treat. And for $10K you can't do better then a Prelude! I hope you don't intend on putting ricer bits on that car because she is a bone stock beauty!

Great deal Hotwire!
I picked up a similar 2000 SH in January this year. My case was pretty close: 1 owner trade in, owned by a 52 yr old woman. Completely stock, 33k miles. I paid $9600 and feel I got a complete steal on it. In that kind of condition, here in the midwest I see dealers charging upwards of 13k for them.
There is one for sale right up the street from me at the local honda - 2000 SH, ficus green, 71k miles - $13,990. Granted that's ridiculous, but I've seen comparable preludes (mileage / condition) priced anywhere from 10k - 13k.
So $10,500 doesn't seem too bad to me at all

Congrats on the purchase, car looks beautiful! A well kept Prelude will last for a long time, enjoy it.

BTW, I think this belongs better in the Member's Rides section. I will move it there.

Congratulations on such an awesome find. You will have a lot of fun with it.

Very good find. Where I live, I see very few Preludes around. =( I took what I could find, and ended up with one that was pretty beat up. I'm glad you found one in such good shape. Welcome to the forums!

Oh snap, another Raleigh person. I used to live there.
Important tips:
* Whatever you do, don't take your car to Phantasm.
* I know 2 gearheads there who love to work on imports. I can give you their contact info if you like.
* The Tarheel SCC is a damn fine SCCA club. Lots of skilled drivers and amazing cars in that club. If you want to learn how to drive well, spend as much time as you can with them.
