as far as i remember, any clutch that holds more power is illegal.. upgraded discs are ok, just not pressure plates

i ran an upgraded one on mine because i was running with a bunch of cheaters in my class... a wrx w/ upgraded turbo, fmic, engine management, etc.. also another wrx with upped boost and no cats

An upgraded clutch was my only cheater mod, i figured if they could run that much extra power, a clutch that adds no power should be ok

Questions...

1. How do you like the autometer gauges?
2. How do you like the radiator im trying to keep my engine cool so i bought a buncha hoses dont knwo if it was worth it.
3. did your A/F ratios get F%#% up b/c of the intake?
4. What really is the point of that radiator shroud?
5. Has your lights and stereo loose any powere b/c of the pulley kit?
6. How much do you still owe on the ride?

1. I like the autometer gauges. I've run them in every car i have, and i really do like them. I haven't hooked up the oil pressure yet because it is a waste of time until i drop in the sti motor. i would have to rig it all up, then just take it apart to put it on the other motor. But defantly good gauges.

2. The radiator is NICE. My temp gauges goes slightly above the 1/4 mark, and stays there. Only reason i did the radiator was because of the new motor, wanted to make sure it stayed cool. If you are just going to keep the stock motor, don't worry about the radiator, do a thermostat, a radiator cap, and the main thing that helpped me out was water wetter from redline. That stuff is great.

3.My a/f didn't get screwed up because of the intake. In the utec, there is a way to calibrate the MAF sensor, so i went ahead and did that, and the voltages were right on target, meaning it wasn't affected by the intake.

4. The radiator shroud prevents air from going up and over the radiator. It keeps more air going to the radiator to keep the car cool. I had the shroud before the radiator, and i noticed a difference with it. There are a lot of companies that make them, i picked up a generic one off of ebay that is great!

5. Pulley has caused no loss. I've got the volt gauge hooked up, and even at night, with the stereo thumping, it sits a tad over 14volts, so it is doing just fine. No dimming lights or anything like that. At idle, it does go a little under 14v, but that really doesn't hurt anything.

6. I have no idea how much i still owe. Got the car new for like 24 out the door. Been paying 450 a month. 5 year loan, 1 year down... 4 left.

you defantly want some sort of engine management... maybe a uni-chip, or a reflash on the ecu. A lot of power comes from tweaking the fuel and ignition.

possbily a MBC, or EBC, raise the boost up to 15-16.5lbs

doing a alternator pulley is cheap, gives good power, so does the grounding kit.

doing an air filter helps out... intakes don't do too well on our cars.
