The end of an era gives rise to a new one...

As you may or may not know, my turbo 5th gen, which I've had for 10 years since I bought it brand new in 1999, suffered a final blow last year as 2 valves in cyl # 3 decided to elope and take a trip down through my piston and down into the bowels of my built motor. I suspect the trusty auto tensioner was the culprit. I have since removed the engine, replaced it with a virgin JDM H22. The car is for sale and will be posted up shortly.

I decided to salvage parts of the kit, so that the dream could live on under the hood of my GSR. Will I ever learn my lesson? Apparently never... Here are some pics of the progress on the GSR so far:

Oh an BTW I traded the vette for a more practical daily. Vette turned out to be an electrical nightmare!

Too bad about the Vette. Maybe you should look for one like Clifford's??

Yeah, as a sports car, it was great. Absolutely loved it, and would consider getting another one in the future. But this particular one was a real pain in the ass, and not enjoyable as a daily IMO. I'm paying the same for the M, and it's got lots of every day niceties like Nav, Bluetooth, A/C seats (it's Florida...), Bose, DVD entertainment center, and other things.

Nice! Can't wait to see some full shots of the GSR. Always thought they were super sexy.
