You don't necessarily have to use tranny bolts from Honda. Just measure the thread pitch and size of the bolt and go to a hardware store like home depot, Lowes, etc. to get the bolts. Thats what I used to put my engine on a stand. But with this project, what's $5/bolt? lol

I think I have some tranny bolts sitting in my garage. How many are you looking for and I'll see if I have enough if any at all

well i only need 4 bolts to mount the block to the stand but i will eventually need all the bolts which i think is like 8 or 10 but i havent counted. i am sure your bolts are for an h22 tranny/block though and i need them for a k24 and im not sure if they are the same...

well it is official.
here is the invoice for my kparts that i ordered yesterday.

since the first one is such a horrible cell phone pic here are the details of the order.

thanks to Dale, the owner of k20tuned.com, for all of his help in finding and ordering the parts i need. he is a stand up guy and very cool to deal with. he was kind enough to start a sponsorship on my car. THANKS!

he said that the parts should start rolling in from ups here in the next 2 weeks or so.

well my car can no longer be driven. i bought a 1994 nissan hardbody this past weekend for a daily. i transfered my plate and suspended insurance on my prelude so i can leave her in the garage. i will be taking the front body panels off by this weekend and i will hopefully be able to borrow an engine lift this weekend to pull the h22 out.

alright, well since i got my new used truck as shown here V

i have been able to take my prelude off the road and begin the new portion of the build thread.

this portion will include: shave, tuck, k24/k20 build, completed kswap, and hopefully a few exterior and interior goodies.

so i was fortunate enough to have a paid half day at work this past friday so i took apart the front end of the lude... sideskirts, fenders, headlights, bumper, hood, intake, radiator, and battery were all removed. i also disconnected most of the harness and most of the hoses from the motor.

then i was fortunate enough again to have monday off as a 4th of july recoop paid holiday lol.
so i went to work...got everything set up just outside of my garage because it looked like a beautiful day and then 30 min later all hell broke loose and it rained hella hard from 5 until 930. so i went out and finished pulling the motor and finished around 1145.

thanks for looking.

alright,
i got my Wavetrac LSD from SquadronOneMotorsports this past weekend. Hella fast shipping and a great price. Thanks Merv!

finally got the k24 long block up onto the engine stand. lifting this engine and getting it onto the stand by myself was a *****.

and yesterday i got the engine harness out along with a bunch of other crap. i cleared off the right side of the bay.

it can be done w a good tuner and such
just remember that around 12.5.1cr you are really pushing the limit
it would most defentially make more power on e85 or race gas
maybe even one of those water/meth sprayers...

i have seen people make really good power on pump gas(91) but make even more
on hight octane stuff and that motor was only 11.5.1...

ya i know... im going to have it tuned well on kpro.

i think it will be fine on 93 octane. im sure meth injection or race gas would be better on numbers and i might run that at the track but just for cruising around or going to shows 93 should be fine as long as its tuned right.

i wanted to mimic this guys set up... k20a2 head on a k24a4 block. 12.5:1 comp pistons, blueprint rods, z3 cams (i probably wont do those... the a2 cams should be fine until i get a seperate head built and ill run some skunk2 stage 2s or something), i/h/e, and a rbc intake manifold tuned on kpro... made 272whp and somewhere around 230-240 torque. those numbers are amazing. even if i just hit around 260whp id be happy. with the 6 speed tranny with a hyper single exedy and the wavetrack lsd... the suspension dialed in correctly and some good tires it should be a very fun, very impressive all motor car to drive on the track and street.

thanks for the words
