249hp & 256 ft/lbs @ 4,000 RPM (corrected) at around 8psi w/ a laggy T4....need to buy me a GT-Series turbo!
No engine bay pics because it's dirty up in there right now. To answer a possible question: for a while I had it up for sale, but after some deep self reflection, I decided I'm too selfish to sell it to anyone else. No one deserves this car more than I do.

my good buddy has a S14a (isn't the US version "S14a"??)
anyways, it looks just like yours but black.
i love that car
i was looking for one but couldn't find one with a manual- transmission - every single one i found was an automatic!!! argh!!!
i later found my prelude instead and bought that - i'm very happy, but i think a 240SX would have been fun too!!! RearWheelDrive!!!
my friend says his 240 gets really tail happy in the rain.
must be his tires
Very nice man, very nice indeed! Those lights are sweet. I've never looked at an S14 close enough to see how beautiful they really are. However, I still dig the Silvia's light more. But I'd take this car no prob!

It has the same lights as the Silvia, I'm guessing you're thinking of the S15. I bought my brother a S13 fastback and he still has the KA. After a long time of deciding to turbo the KA we decided not to because of the mileage, instead we are swapping in a rb25det this summer. How many miles do you have on the KA? Why did you decide to turbo the KA? What are you're plans/goals for the car? Sorry for all the questions but it's not often I run into another PO member with a 240.
It's a summer/weekend car...just about 75,000 miles though I only put on about 5k/year now. KAs will run forever like most Nissan engines though.
I went KA-turbo for a bunch of reasons. They've been proven to be reliable in the 300+ hp range as several people daily drive them. Many turbo kits available though my set-up is almost all custom. I saw no reason to swap out a perfectly good KA (with about 65k on it) for a used Japanese engine. Why not keep the extra displacement when just as much power can be made? And lastly, the value of a good used salvage yard KA is around $600-800. If by some chance I have engine problems I'm not up ****'s creek waiting weeks for shipment of a $2,000+ SR20 from Japan.

There is a rb25 in a Silvia here, but it's not turbo. It's a huge engine and is a real torque monster, and like jmcn mentioned it takes a long time to get the parts. When I saw it they had the engine in the car, but were missing one critical component that would take 2-3 months to show up
Really? Thats a long time, but it's expected. There are some good reliable sources for RB25's, whoever the guy is with the 240 tell him to check out: phase2motortrend, rbmotoring, tophatperformance.com (poorly designed website but reliable among the 240 community, well atleast that's what I'm told), www.enjukuracing.com, and McKinney motorsports. He probably knows most of these but just in case. Also is there any reason why it's not turboed?
Jon
PS keep us updated JMCN. By the way do you have the dyno graph for that pull?
Why not a SR20DET. I was doing some research on a project car which was 240sx. After looking for one for a while I could find one close enough to drive to so I gave up for a while. Personally I like the SR a lot better. YOu don't need any custom work. The RB you need a custom drive train. The SR are cheaper to make go faster. For 7000 you can get 300+ on a SR but with 7000 you can't get 300 with a RB (that 7000 includes engine and install plus extra mods with left over money). RB are a nice motor if you want to waste extra money. It will get you a lot of points in a show. I would rather save my money and get a SR and lose a few points in a show.
My $.02

Enhanced, there are many many people that would disagree with you. On the 240 forums this is often a huge argument resulting with no winner. Yes you do have to get custom stuff such as a drive shaft, but I don't think any of it is a waste of money. Both have its capabilities but ones not better than the other by a large margin.
That is what I am saying. THey are both very good motors with about the same power range but one is a lot more expensive than the other. Depends on if you want to spend your money on a skyline motor or a silvia motor.
me personally would say just to have the skyline motor in your car would be a waste of money. Why spend all that money when you can spend thousands less for the same power if not a little more.
