check it out! another 5th gen!! WOOOO!! NO 56K!!

alright....so here's a few pics of my 00 Base 5 Speed....from when i first got it to just today....

First off....these are the pics from the dealer's lot. There's another 00 base, but SS auto, in the background.

Next...a pic from my first dyno day...this was with only a cone filter...car was stock otherwise.

bleh...only managed 143 hp at 7300 and 115 ft/lb at w/e... yay for dynapack.

ok...here are some more recent pics...a couple with another lude here in town that is the same year, etc.

it's here!!! the moment you've been waiting for!!!! engine shots!!!

and lastly....your moment of zen...

what up, biatches!

mods so far are listed in the sig. i'm gonna be getting some brembo cross-drilled/slotted rotors here shortly, so they'll be on soon.

lata!

those numbers look low, post the dyno sheet on here and you will get more answers on what could have been the problem or what is needed.

Other than that, change the foglights to where the jdm ones go, unless you are getting rid of those and getting jdm ones.

dude y didn't u get the ss instead? they r so much faster

anyhow, looks good.. you've got a good start

also, be sure to paint the hub part of ur new rotors before installing.. otherwise they'll rust to hell and look nasty (happened to my new brembo blanks in a week)

Either that motor is dead or something wrong. Dynapack numbers read higher then Dynojet numbers.

1...Thanks for all the compliments so far.

2...i was gonna get JDM fogs, but can't spend that much right now. those fogs are for lighting up the road, so i'm not too worried about how they look right now.

3...dyno was done in 4th gear...i'll post the dyno shortly...i'm not sure what is wrong with it, although, i'm havin tranny probs now...they told me at the dyno shop that the dynapack dyno reads lower than most because it puts the car under load and it's from the hub, basically...no wheels.

4...the V2 intake is AWESOME!! gains were definitely felt, but i haven't had the chance to dyno yet. it gets rid of the IACV, so it's a noisy muf****a. sounds great!! after vtec hits in WOT, all you hear is the intake...no exhaust whatsoever.

all in all, i'm pretty happy with the performance so far....it runs faster than most cars out here....hangs with the 4.6L mustangs and V8 firebirds...some others...there's still a few hatches out here that'll pull me, but i haven't met any NA bolt-on ludes that can outrun me. i know that someone with built head/block or blown/turbo will totally p0wn me, but i'm talkin bout others with just bolt-ons similar to mine.

Dyno sheet.....dyno was on 28 July 04 in the early afternoon....conditions were....
Temperature: 83 Fahrenheit
Humidity: 41.5%
Barometer: 30.05

it's pretty obvious where VTEC engages at....spike in both graphs...i'm sure that the heat/humidity had something to do with it, as well. it was feelin pretty ****ty that day. if i were to go now with the same setup, i'm sure it'd be different.

anyway....it seems pretty consistant to me, so i didn't really pay it much mind, other than the fact that dynapack dyno's suck.

another side note....the way this dyno works is that it puts a load on the engine and it doesn't involve using the wheels to transfer the power. you're going off the axles, transmission, engine....it's one step closer to the engine, i'd say...versus a roller dyno where you have tires,wheels/axles/trans/engine.

VTEC hits at 5200 stock, I never really knew it would have a pause like that though. I'm just a n0-ob though, so don't mind me. Heat/Temperature may have had something to do with it..
