Changing wheels...but will this look bad??

Well right now I have Konig Imagines....I like em, they look nice and all, but they aren't practical for what I plan on doing this spring and summer...so therefore I'm going to sell them. Now I'm planning on getting the Rota Slipstreams, in either gun-metal or black, and while these are for practicality use, I'm still a little worried about looks I know JDM H22A has these and all, but I wanna know, does it look like you're rolling around on steelies?? I wouldn't mind if I had a red/silver car (I LOVE triton ludes and they way they look on his) but I'm just wondering how these look on a black c ar??

ha ha actually if you look at the rims when your driving ...you can see your rotors. so basically when rolling on steelies you cant see anything. thats what i think....and if people really look at it theyre rims. at first it does look like it but it wouldnt matter after a while. maybe you should try getting some rotors and some brake calipers so you can tell the difference. if your really interested my homie is selling a set..

Well I probably wont be getting them till after the winter season...I'm still debating and I might shell out the extra cash to get a 'better' (even though rota is good) wheel like the SSR Comps, or maybe 16'' volks...

I think those look totally like steelies. IMO flat black wheels almost always look that way. I'd go for gunmetal or silver, G...

I just dont think those le-37t's look good in anything smaller than 17's cause the lip calls attention to how small they are. Personally I would save up for some 16" volks, I think the slipstreams are beyond played out and just dont look that good either, at least in flat black. IMO, I really like bronze te-37's on black cars.

I dunno I love the look of slipstreams. Then again they're not really there for looks ya know. I think other people will think they are steelies - other people as in anyone who isn't into cars.

I think so. Be careful with buying Rotas in "gunmetal" - the Subzero color name was changed to steel gray or something because the "gunmetal" was pretty much black.

Getting black rims is the same thing as getting a CF hood. Ppl like us will appreciate what ur trying to do, while "others" will think u have steelies, just like a regular joe-blo will think u have an unpainted hood.

Screw what "others" think, as long as ur happy w/the looks of it.

Also, I would suggest getting the rims in bronze or steel gray, they contrast the black nicely!

18 inch rota subzero in silver with polished lip, leave the lip polished and powder coat the spokes gunmetal.

Why 18? Like someone said before, the lip makes the wheel looks about a size smaller than it really is.

I would do that, or 17inch bronze te37 if you're feeling rich
