Great News! Lude turned up tonight. Preludeonline.com that's good karma! About an hour after I posted this alert the police found it abandoned in crackville. Crackhead didn't get a thing off the car and my orbital buffer was in the trunk. Assdouche was using it to commit auto thefts and apparently was content with just driving it around with his homies and girlfriend (make up case left on passenger side) I hope they come back they forgot a .45 slug I want them to take
Thanks for the good vibes! IT WORKED. Dudes with Ludes look out for yourselves and each other.

Reason: update
Wow. VERY lucky!!! I was feeling for you when I read this post originally...
I used to worry about that happening to me when I lived in Brooklyn and D.C....
Glad you got it back so quickly... AND with no major damage!

If this was Brooklyn his car would be on cinderblocks. trust me.
do you have it converted to obd1 or how did they bypass the immobilizer?
well, this will not happen again if i can help it from now on. my car was actually inside my attached garage and I unknowingly left the keys in the center console which I've done from time to time so, he has the master key now.
what would you suggest other than I lock and alarm the car (even inside the garage), for helping thwart future thievery? what are your thoughts about some sort of by pass switch or whatever it is. i think you first must have to have the key in the ignition to at least unlock the steering column, then you press a button strategically placed under the dash to activate the ignition sequence.
Same here in Columbus. Strip em clean and leave em sitting.

I'm sure that was the fate for my whip, when they got tired of style'n and profile'n around cracktown.
An apartment manager called after the car was parked illegally at least three days in a row, he couldn't see who was driving the only time he saw it leave coz of the tint. he left a note on it instead of towing it because it has a vet plate on it, after the third day he called police. the rest is a surprise ending to a ordinarily ****ay story

whats the obd1 and immobilizer? haha, i don't work on cars. i pay others who know better than i do for most things and those who will be responsible for any issues due to improper service. it has paid off a couple times. the shop had to pay twice for service to the ATTS and oil pan. paid to have the insurance of the shop on repairs.
Well if he had the keys the Immobilizer wouldn't have kicked in. If someone tries to steal our ludes without a key the witch shuts down :-p obd1 is the old emissions system....many elect to jump from obd2 to obd1 to bypass alot to be able to easily upgrade/tune....but not sure if that disables the immobilizer system.
you must have been raised in the midwest. cause thats the only people that i know of, that leave their key in the car, and door to the house unlocked..
funny story though.. back in the days when i was young and stupid.. my car got impounded in the indoor garage. this was about 2am. before 5 am, my integra had gotten stolen. impound yard/garage left the keys in the car (their story) I say it was an inside job.
Yet the same cop that had my car impounded. was the same one that arrested the thieves. But still thought I had something to do with it.
