Following the same weekend as LFW, members from G35driver.com also had a driver's meeting. My apologies to Alex for not going to LFW, wish I could've made it... I have yet been able to make it out there in the last 4 years
Overall, the G35 meets are about the same as Prelude meets. The only exception of course are the ages of the drivers. Most of them range from 22 to 60, with very selected few under the age of 21. Most of the drivers are ex Honda tuners. I guess I wasnt the only one that out grew modding
Since the vehicle and engine is still relatively new, engine mods from most members are minimum. Basic bolt-ons, with some members planning for superchargers or turbo. For the most part, most drivers are content with the stock engine performance of the G35, including myself.
Went to a BBQ meet sponsored by Penninsula Inifiniti, followed by a drive on Skyline for photos and chat. The meets appear to be a lot more organized as dedicated members are responsible in planning and organizing meets. They also have a charitable funds created by the Northern G35 reps that is used for future group meets (BBQs, dyno meets, etc.)
