Here is the project that I have been working on over winter break. I have converted these halogen fog lights to HID by using a standard D2S bulb and modifying parts of the projector to give me a nice pattern. Here is a picture I took a few days ago that shows one projectors beam pattern against the wall (it is the higher line, the lower ones are my low beams).
This next picture is of the cutoff line of one of the projectors (notice the nice blue/purple color emitted just like a regular OEM HID projector)
Another.
And this last one is a side view of the projector as it is shooting inside my garage (notice the intense amount of light being sent towards the ground at the bottom left corner, this shows they would work very nice for auxilary lighting)
Anyways, more to come. I have buytl rubber coming next week to seal them up and then I'll be finished with these babies. As always... NO GLARE. * Note * ALL the pictures above are of ONE projector. The other one has yet to be installed.
Yea, I thought about putting them behind the grill but it just would not work well. I am thinking of making a cover like the OEM fogs have to go around them. I have some pics on my computer I think. I'll have to upload them. I'll do that later tonight.
It actually turns out that I did not really take on daytime pics. Sadly, I am now at college and without my car. It will be atleast a month before I can get pix.
how did you get ur projectors to be waterproof? thats really nice. i would like to put projectors in my headlight and as a auxilary light. i would get amazing light! night time driving would be so fun.
i asked what hid he used and he said HID BM, so that means he said HID Box Monkey. what does fedex and ups have to do with the kind of hid or projectors he has?
i think i know what ur saying after looking at some other posts. ups and fedex are considered box monkeys because they just move boxes. mailmen doesnt really carry boxes so a case can be made for them, correct?
