97 turbo prelude UPDATE 2009

okay its been awhile since ive posted on this site. sorry ive been busy but here is a few pics as of spring/summer of 2009. 5 motors and 4 turbos later.... finally fully built by ME. i got tired of paying for a shop to charge me an arm and a leg to break my motor. this time i did ALL THE MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, and COSMETIC work to this car. i had it tuned last spring and made 331hp and 279lbtq on 13psi on a 54 trim dying turbo...yes leaking turbo lol. this summer i have a new turbo and 70mm throttle body.

UPDATE FEB 2009

bought my lude in 04 w/ 99k on it. it was auto, riced out, totally neglected.
most ny luders know me as bustr.
me and my lude have been through hell and back about 3 times now...lol

yea that motor was built "wrong" at least that is what nrg tech racing said. then i had dumped another 3gs into the motor to be rebuilt. i had finally purchased and installed other vital parts new manifold,new intercooler, and new bov
the pistons melted on the dyno.... thanks NRG they built the motor and "tuned it" but blamed it on my that is was running lean???? go figure... so about a month ago replace my je 9.1 comp pistons to wiseco 9.1 and she is being broken in. never again will any shop touch my car@! so here i am again... 5th..yea 5 redone motors later hopefully ready for the 450- hp that i want. yes boost is an addiction.... yes i love my lude.... close to 30gs later and still not even finished.

as of april 2008 13psi blown turbo precision sc34 60-1 oil leaking through seals.

as of july 2008 13psi smaller turbo.. turbonetics .48a/r 54 trim ...skunk2 intake manifold added

not bad...but gonna push to 400hp by next summer.

well im gonna start threads soon... w/ pics of others motors but i havent received any from the owners yet. i never have a camera when i finish a motor either...

oh true, well the cars looking great, i think the invader makes it look alot better. you should get the rims powercoated black.lol
