I had SSR evolution decolte 17x7 w/ a +48 offset, 215/40/17 and no rubbing.

Now I am getting 18x7.5 +42 offset w/ 215/40/18 ---fenders rolled --- hope they fit OK

surprisingly I only get a tiny bit of rubbing in hard U-turns and when I back out off a driveway with the wheel turned all the way (to avoid scraping). I was really surprised myself since 225/40 is typically too much to with on a prelude. Then again im not quite as low as you, im about 1.8" (used to be a 1 finger gap all the way around with the 35 profile tires)
