PS the "headbands" are Spoon Sports reservoir covers that absorb condensation around the break fluid and power steering reservoirs
The fluid reservior covers are actually there to absorb any drips from leaks that might develop on your clutch or brake master cylinder. Since there is brake fluid in both and brake fluid is known to eat right through paint in very little time, it became a trend to put the covers right around the area where the lid seals it in case there happened to be a drip that might get on your paint somewhere in the engine bay and corrode that area. Not completely a necessity, but it's a trend that alot of people do have on their cars.

I am trying to get some advice from everyone on this one prepreludesh. Do you think I should go with the tri y headers that are on the group buy portion of this site? or go with something else. and I also know they arent a direct bolt on and I will need to make a test pipe.
Those headers do look okay in my book. I think the biggest con is when you have to fit both pieces together, I hear alot of people say how much of a ***** it is. When they say "test pipe," don't think you have to run cat-less. You just have to buy an ebay 2.5" test pipe ($30 including shipping) and that way you've got something cheap that you can have a welder cut up, mate to the header collector in the location needed, and you could possibly bolt it straight up to the cat. Believe it or not, the 2.5" ebay test pipes have the same flange that will bolt up to your factory cat (although the factory cat only has a 1.9" inside diameter), but it'll be a bottleneck for sure. To ensure maximum gains from a header like that, you should visit random technologies website and find a universal 2.5" inlet x 2.5" outlet catalytic converter and weld it up to your existing exhaust, assuming your existing exhaust is 2.5" as well.
Most aftermarket bolt-on exhausts for the prelude are 60mm though, which is 2.36", so you are squeezing it down a bit, but I don't know if you're okay with that or not.
After so many experiences with flanges and gaskets failing on bolt-on exhaust components, I think you will be happier with a fully welded exhaust, even though the price will set you back a little bit...

Wow SH thank you man. I dont want to go with a generic DC brand or anything that will ultimately give me no gains at all. I am prepared to spend what ever I have to and get it right the first time so I wont have to backtrack. If you have any suggestions about a fully welded system brand to purchase please let me know. But i will check out random technologies today too. thanks again for the great advice
How did you get a black one?!? I thought they only came in white. I took mine off because it was white and have been looking for a black one forever!
hey man I got it from hondapartsnow.com it was like 25 with shipping. it isnt black though man, it is a really dark gray. its nice to have a fresh one!!
Nice thanks, I saw that there are two and none of the sites tell you the different for what color is what and a quick google search told me that TypeVB is the darker colored one. Thanks!

anytime man. Just make sure you check several times to make sure you are purchasing the right one! your lude is blue though, dont you want the lighter colored one??
^^
yeah it's kind of weird but like how I painted the H emblems the same color as my car cause I didn't want to remove them but didn't want them to stick out like they did with the regular silver color. Same thing with the decal I wanted it dark colored (also because it left a scratch in my paint and I want to cover that up) so it won't stick out a lot but I'll still have that OEM decal. I guess it's the option between debagging and not debagging, just make the emblems not stick out. Oh and I ordered the decal yesteday too
aaah i see you got tricked into buying the ebay spark plugs and wires. the plugs are ngk but the wires are not lol.
clean car! i had decals like that on the underside of the hood but the heat and washing made some of them go bad so i removed it all. wish i thought about using the trunk lid instead lol. very clever of ya!
