EDIT: Finally decided to give this a revision... the original post is at the bottom, for archival purposes...
This is more a thread for me (and others) to keep track of the progress of my daily driver.
It is a USDM 1999 Honda Prelude CP. (Originally Automatic)
Mods are as follows:
M2Y4 Transmission, with no 5th gear left.
Bone stock block and head. (don't ask)
AEM CAI w/Bypass Valve
DC Sports Headers (beat to piss)
Punched out CAT
Frankenstein'd 1.5-stage direct-port Nitrous Kit (75 poor dispersal shot, and 125 even shot) (not properly tuned: my datalogs while juicing the bottle look like a really scary rollercoaster, that flirts with 16:1 AFR) (NOTE: If you ever drive my car; never turn the fog lights on, while the nitrous system is pressurized. It causes soiled undergarments, at around 3200rpm.)
Custom 2.25" SS Cat-back; to a GReddy can
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Blockoff
Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) Coolant Bypass
Fast Idle Thermal Valve (FITV) Blockoff and Bypass
PCV Breather (intake side)
Husky Oil Catch Can; with a line to the oil pan... I swear I plan on adding a cool-down circuit and a solenoid to this eventually
Auto-Manual Swap (M2Y4)
Honda P72, with a Hondata s300
Perm. Installed 8" Touchscreen LCD above center vents (I like hondata's display)
AEM Wideband UEGO and Autometer A/F Meters, Mounted in a Guage Pod (Replaced the stock O2 with the AEM's Bosch Sensor; the Autometer watches the SHO2S now.. not really sure why... didn't wanna leave a hole there, as my oil guage went with my built engine)
Full Sony XPLOD Sound: MEX-BT3700U CD/MP3 Deck; 5.25" Doors; (Wal-mart Tweeters); 6x9 Rears, Pre-fabbed Autozone box with 2 10's; 1000w pushing the subs; 600w pushing the rest
Accord Pocket, Under the radio.
600w Power Inverter installed in the plastic tray in the back
Leage Rims
4x Kumho AST 215x45xZR17's
Authentic Drilled and slotted Brembo front rotors
Knock-off Drilled and slotted Brembo rear rotors (brembo won't d/s blanks for the rear, poot!)
GReddy front lip
Buddy Club 2 Rear Bumper
Sitting in the TO-DO Pile:
Oil Filter Relocation, and Oil Cooler (Last ditch at keeping the ECT down under juice)
JDM Side Markers (Can't bring myself to dremel out the sides of my fenders)
JDM Accord Side Fog Lights (again, can't bring myself to dremel out the exterior of my car)
Water Pump Seal (Don't ask.)
BC2 Side Skirts (again, requires the use of a dremel... my car is afraid of them)
And now, what you have all been waiting for. The Pictures.
mmmmm... brains....
Wait... where am I supposed to sit?
Gotta have a Bluetooth Head Unit...
Wiring Nightmares...
Meh... I'm sure it will buff out...
You can never have too much Carbon Fiber in useless places!

First, a bit of my life story.
My first car was a 1989 Buick Regal Custom GT. It was 2-tone, black, with a silver lower half. It boasted a turbo'd V6, at 280hp. I originally got this car given to me, when I turned 15; and built it up till I got my license. To make a long story short, I ended up putting a rod through the oil pan, and sold the car for $500; not realizing it's real value
My second car was my parents old car, from when they upgraded. It was a purple 4-door dodge intrepid. As much as I hated the car, that thing lasted years. It's final demise was in 2004, at Fort Bliss, Texas. A guy in a pickup ran a stop sign, and T-boned me in the drivers side.
With the $4000 that I got for the intrepid, I went car shopping, and ended up with a 1999 GMC Yukon with a blown engine, for $800. With $3200 to spare, I picked up a built 350 vortech, that was ran in a monster truck. The transmission took alot of welding and chopping to fit in the yukon, but eventually it all came together. This is when I first really got into street racing.
After the Yukon was put together, and tuned; it's final dyno came out to 428WHP. I'm sure with proper tuning, the engine could push an easy 550WHP, but I'm happy with the 8MPG it gets now (and still gets to this day)
While I was at Fort Bliss, I would routinely race imports, with my black & gold yukon. As heavy as that thing was, it would still take an SRT-4 in a 1/4, without even breaking traction.
As it turned out, anything short of a moderately modified V8 mustang; was money in the bank for me. With 4WD, a touch shy of 500 ft/lbs of torque, and a 100 shot of dry nitrous; I was running mid-low 10's. I'm pretty sure if I changed to slicks, I could have seen single digits; but a yukon with 4 slicks is a dead give away.
After having the Yukon, and raking in a few thousand off of racing ricers in El Paso, I ended up finding my baby at a used car shop. It was a riced 1999 automatic honda prelude. Black, with a Whale fin, mildly built engine, and LOTS of stickers. With a window price of $16,000; I drove away from the dealership with it, for $13000. (about $7k of ricers' money, and $6k of mine)
NOTE: The whale fin didn't even make it home. I stopped at a gas station, unbolted it, and threw it in a dumpster. That thing looked terrible. I later found out that the thing was worth $800... I guess some bum in El Paso is happy.
I drove the Prelude the way it came, for about 200 miles, over the course of a month; before finally fudging a piston ring. I took this as a good opertunity to try to get it as fast as my yukon. I dumped about $7k into the engine, getting every part that sounded cool... Darton 87mm Sleeves, Eagle H-Beam Rods, CP 87mm 12:1 pistons; supertech valvetrain, S2 titanium springs and retainers, RC 350cc injectors... After the assembly and modest tune were complete, it dyno'd at 204WHP. I cried.
While the prelude was in the shop; I actually got beat. By what I thought was a rice extreme. A Toyota celica. After a bit of talking, I found that he had a fully built racing engine in it; and was pushing a 100 shot. Thinking that he was pushing about 120hp, I didn't want to make him feel too bad, so I gave him the jump, and ran a 13s 1/4. He went all out, and ran high a 11s 1/4 =(
The next day, I went out and bought a 2002 Toyota Celica for $7.5k; only to find out that it was going to run me more to have it built than I had paid for the prelude. I kept it parked for a few months before I finally found a ricer that would give me what I paid for it.
After getting the engine built, I let the prelude sit for about 3 months, without touching it other than driving it to the store occasionally, when I didn't wanna get called out, and have to race my yukon. I really didn't change much; other than de-ricing it.. I found a sucker willing to give me OEM bumpers and sideskirts, for the eBay kit that was on it. I jumped allover that. $300 later, at a paint shop in Juarez, mexico, it looked like it was brand new =) They even managed to match the "Pearl" effect of the paint, on the bumpers!
After it was painted; it looked ... boring... I liked the style of the big yellow block letters that said "PRELUDE" across the side, that got scraped off when it was painted; so I had a couple made. The guy that printed em even threw in a set of AEM and DC Sports stickers, what a deal!
In mid-2004, My unit moved to south korea; so I left my baby with the only person I trusted with it- Cliff, of DC Motorsports. I never actually had any work done there; but I would harrass his techs on a daily basis, about how to squeeze more HP out of a H22a4. The plan was to have his team to an Auto-Manual swap, and lots of other work; but hard times, financially, were coming =(
During the first 2-3 months of being in korea, I tried to make plans for the prelude; but everything kept falling through. I eventually ended up just ordering a ZEX Direct Port NOS Kit for it.
I returned from korea, towards the end of 2006; stopped in el paso, picked up both vehicles, and made a run for michigan (home sweet home!). I used a U-haul car dolly, and averaged 4-5MPG from El Paso, TX to Saginaw, MI. Needless to say, I was flat broke before I made it out of texas.
I ended up stopping in Dallas, found a few ricers, but nobody willing to race for $. Ended up pawning off the sound system from my yukon to get home... That was prolly the most painfull $800 I ever got; considering that it cost me nearly $3k. But in the long run, it got me home.
Once I pulled in the driveway in Michigan; I dropped the prelude off of the car dolly; dropped off the trailer; and backed my yukon in, infront of the prelude. CLUNK! I ended up putting a square imprint in the front bumper, that stayed there for a few years.
While I was in michigan, Being nearly flat broke; I adjusted my gameplan. I left the yukon parked at my mom's house; and took my prelude to my next duty station, Fort Bragg, NC. In my mind, the yukon was dead to me. It's gas milage nearly broke me. Plus, with no radio, it was not nearly as fun to drive any more. It still sits there, to this day.
Before I left; I spent a couple of days putting in the Wet Kit; only to find out that the hose that goes from the bottle to the NOS Sol wasn't long enough for where I wanted to put it. I took that as a sign that I prolly shouldn't worry about spraying; considering I couldn't even afford to get the bottle filled at the time; so I left the hose and the bottle at home, with the rest of the kit still installed.
A few months later, at Fort Bragg; I got the urge to play with the Prelude; but being flat broke; and not having my money maker there; I stuck to cheap/free mods. I did alot of custom wiring; pulled the IM off half a dozen times, and filed different parts down, hoping for better air flow. Some things worked; some things worked out well, some didn't.
I ended up making some friends that were in a car club that owned a dyno, so I got some free pulls. I used that to do some fine tuning; and cranked her up to 233WHP, while still running moderately rich through the whole powerband. Now, I was "tuning" with an APEXi VAFC, so mind you, That number would likely go up dramatically, with a proper tune. Some of the power came from the "custom" port matching I did on the intake manifold, some came from playing with the CAI (cutting out chunks of plastic, so the filter actually gets air, etc); but most of it came from the engine actually being broken in.
It all came to a pause, in June, 2007. I was minding my own bussiness; pulling the radio mount out with the car running; when I popped the transmission in drive by mistake; and rear-ended a parked camry. It bent my hood; cracked a headlight; and cost me a few thousand to pay for the damage to the camry. After this, I took a long break.
In January, 2008; my unit deployed to IRAQ; and again, I left my baby in storage. But this time I meant bussiness.
I had never really driven a stick before; other than a celica that I owned for a whooping 2 months back in texas; but I was tired of driving an automatic, and needed a change. I bought a wrecked stock manual prelude, off of a user here, and had it shipped to michigan. When I took mid-tour leave a few weeks back, I got around to doing the auto-manual swap; and it turned out wonderfully.
Now; as I'm back in IRAQ for another 6 months, I have purchased several items to add to the prelude, to get it on the same level as my yukon. There are still several things that I need to purchase.
