cool pic. but i am just weary of ppl attempting this on the open road regardless.

i don't think your gearing allows for that kinda speed. plus a regular 5 spd is gear limited to like 140ish no matter what you hear ppl saying.

144 is the most I have ever tried. I have not tried again in 2 years. Most I have gone since then is 120 at one of our meetings.

Actually, a 5th Gen with a 7600 rpm rev limit(actual not tach indicated) and OE final drive(4.266) on 24.1" diameter tires(which is the OD of the OE 205/50-16) would run out of 5th Gear(with a ratio of 0.812) at ~157.3038 mph

That is for a 5spd, I dont know the ratios of the SS or the final gear, but if someone can get them I can tell you where it would top out at, although I think the SS had a lower rev limit of around 7200.

Its simple math

The stock tach and speedo read 5% high. This is generally true for all Hondas.

Keep in mind that a different tire size will affect actual land speed but not the indicated speed.

Do this anywhere near me on the road and I'll run your ass off. I almost took out a bike yesterday, some douchebag trying to cut through traffic by cutting through lanes.

Thank you and drive safely.
