OK... so I haven't been involved with NTPOG for a while now, so I don't know how many members it currently has, but I can't believe there aren't more NTPOG people signed up for NPM. I mean, hell... it's only 3 hours away this year, and that's probably as close as it will ever be.
This is an opportunity to not only see, but also be a part of one of the largest gatherings of Preludes in one place at one time. This is an opportunity to take your car to the track and get a feel for its real performance capabilities in a controlled environment. This is an opportunity to show off your car and any time and effort that you have put into customizing/personalizing it. It's also an opportunity to put a face/person with the screen names of the people that you talk to on here all the time.
And, if you're interested in performance driving at all... sign up for the track event. This is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience on the track. If you've never been on the track, you'll learn a lot about car control and get to push the car in a way that you could never safely do on the streets. Additionally, since this will be primarily a Prelude event, you'll have a chance to gauge your driving abilities against others in similarly equipped car. If that's not enough motivation for you, just check out my sig. You don't want some wimpy S2K guy taunting you on your own forum, do you? Come out there to the track and show me how your 2.2 liters can stand up to my measly 2.0.
Anyway... I'm just posting because I'm disappointed in the apparent lack of interest in the event this year. I went to NPM03 in Alabama, and there were at least 50 Preludes on the track. This year, it looks like the count currently stands at about 15-20. That's just sad, and considering that NTPOG is the largest Prelude club in the area, the onus should be on you to get these numbers up.
I've signed up and am really looking forward to it. It is a shame that not many NTPOGers have signed up but in a defense, most of the new membersa are younger (Sr in high school or early college) so money is tight, along with the fact that thier parents probably arn't to hot on the idea. I'm only 18 and I had to beg my mom to let me run the track event.
Don't get me wrong, I want all of the guys down hear to hit the track but there are some things that need to be taken into consideration.

Thanks guys. Ya'll make it seem like I haven't talked about this @ every single NTPOG meet since July last year! If I had a car, it would be up there. I'm planning on going up there anyway to support what I can of the National Prelude Meet.
Thanks for posting this marcus.

+1 to Marcus' post. You guys are the closest club to this area, and trust me when I tell you that this event will not be this close to you again anytime within the near future. 3 hours is nothin, you will be kicking yourself when its a 15+ hour drive away next year. Plus, try to find a track day for this kind of price, never mind one scheduled around the largest Prelude gathering in the country. We had somewhere around 100-110 Luders in PA last year, lets continue the forward trend.
