July 17th Autocross

More info here:

http://www.s2000.org/nts2koc/autox.shtml

I will be helping to set up this one. Registration will be open this week. LMK if you are interested... there will be a lot of S2k's at this one but also other cars, everyone is welcome to watch or race.

S2kInterational is down (where the schedule is) but basically it's Sat the 17th at Mineral Wells, be there by 9am if you want to race... anytime before 4pm if you just want to watch.

Myself and another photographer will be shooting the entire event. www.erikandersondesigns.com for samples and pricing. In addition to the discount pricing listed on the web for this event, digital files can be added to a printed photo package for $2 each for any attendee.

I might be able to make it, it all depends on whether I get my stuff moved to my new place before Friday.

How many cars would you estimate would be running? I hate waiting for my turn

Not sure if you can see this, but:

http://www.dlbracing.com/nts2koc/dri...px?EventID=956

48 entrants. We are supposed to cap at 50, but usually over-enlist so in case people drop out we still get close to 50. We split into two 25-car heats and are done with a session in about an hour. We run clusters of 8 cars or so, so you get each set of your runs done within a span of about 10-15 minutes. There's not much waiting, other than working corners.

We require pre-registration, you can use the link above, just get a login with DLB Racing and register. Pay at the event.

Come on out!!! Erik Anderson is coming down and I might even get Billy to come out.

I'm still a jobless loser. I could afford the $25, but this set of tires needs to last more than the one year I got out of the last ones.

Also, I'm letting the stealership work on my car on Fri. so I'm not sure I'd trust it to race the next day.

Great!

The "R" designates R-compound tires (race tires). You should be in just "other" with street tires.

I have to head out super early to help set up. Plan on being there by 8:45 to register/tech. We do parade laps so walking the course is not quite as big of a deal.

I would have done the work cheaper.

I know, I know... I would much rather have you or me doing the work than god knows who at the dealership.

I'm only letting them do it because I need Honda to start paying for their bad parts instead of me. I've already replaced these parts once myself (steering linkage joints) and they were bad three weeks later.
