Got bumped today

I was halfway into an intersection when the truck, coming from the opposite direction, decides to turn. I managed to swerve and brake enough to where it only got my fender. Otherwise it'd probably been a harder impact or gotten the whole side of my car. Oh well...could've been much worse. I'm just glad it happened before I got my car painted.

Yeah, it was the dude's fault. I just got an estimate for fixing the damage alone (new fender and paint) for $400. Whole car painted for $1500. Sounds reasonable.

Um...Peter,...at the risk of getting kicked of the 4G squad I'm actually considering the ricey fenders. Not quite decided yet, since I am planning on keeping it pretty clean. I'd like to change the front a bit with a new bumper, but haven't really seen something I can use while keeping the OEM sides (painted) and nothing in the rear. I'm guessing there probably isn't any bumper you can use alone, unless you get a full body kit.

Full car, not cinculing door jam, and engine, and inside junk $800 from forgot the place name, but its a bodyshop close to Redline performance in arlington. My friend got his whole hatch painted white w/blue pearl. Look good for 800. Also if you get the whole body kit form him i think its 500 for whole kit.

PS: I don't get anything for advertising for him, i just wanted to share lol
Only down side is that fcker takes too long to paint.

That sucks, sorry to hear.

When it comes to paint, be sure you see there work on another car first. Its one of those things that has to be done perfectly.

Thanks for the input, guys.

The place I'm considering taking it for a full paint job did the work on our G35 when it was rear ended and they did a really good job. They're saying it'll be two weeks so I may go that route just because I don't want to hassle with trying to bum rides to work for longer than that.

Forget the "4g squad", be worried about me coming over and beating your ass! I thought Billy and I taught you better!

As mentioned it's hard to find any that fit well and I've yet to see a set that didn't look like they were glassed by a 4 year old. I also am of the thought that vents need to serve a purpose and they sure as hell don't when placed there.

I'd stick with OEM/JDM stuff or something like WW RS. I'd avoid any non-eurethane as unless it's a show car and all blended in seamlessly it's going to look like ass after a year (if not immediately).

Wow...thanks, Todd. As always you can always add an incredible amount of persuasive facts. Rice I could deal with to a certain extent, but I definitely don't want to spend a good amount of $ on a paint job only to have the fenders look like a$$ after a while.
