finally bought a set of nice wheels for my car... I think

Usually when I'm on the internet this late at night it is because I am looking-up dirty websites. Well, not this time. I just purchased a set of SSR Type-Cs in a 16-inch diameter with a +42mm offset. I am pretty sure that this size will work fine on my car, especially since it isn't lowered at all. I have seen a couple of people on preludepower.com with +42mm offsets, and it seems like their ride is fine ( no rubbing issues, etc. ). The best thing about this is that the wheels only weigh 12 pounds each. I'm so excited I could piss myself. Well maybe not that excited but I'm still stoked about it.

P. S. : My Axis wheels are for sale as soon as I can verify that the SSRswill fit.

When you get those wheels, could you come over? I'd like to see if they fit over this brake kit on my track car. I'll buy you a dinner or something.

I ordered them Fedex 2-day shipping, and they supposedly shipped-out today. But then again, you never know when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I understand your pain with the brake kit. I have an AEM big brake kit that I was going to use on my 18s but the spokes on the wheel wouldn't clear the caliper. Now I use it as a paperweight.

The wheels came-in today. I'm about to go test-fit them on my car.

They fit really well... I still need tires for them though. The front brake caliper comes close to the spokes of the wheel, but it doesn't touch them. I may shave a tad bit off of the brake caliper anyways just to make myslef feel better about it.
