I was caught in the hail a little bit ago and haven't checked it out yet. There were puddles so big on my way home I had to keep it in VTEC so I wouldn't hydrolock!
I heard it was raining when I was in a resturant and immediately went, "MY CAR!!" Of course I'm parked in the very FURTHEST spot out in BFE so I got soaked on my way there.
Yea, my understanding is that it pulls more air at higher RPM so whatever water gets in the intake is being mixed with so much air that it is less likely to harm the engine. I'm sure David, Todd or Billy could explain it better though.
I guess it's just as well that I'm stuck in here, I need my sleep tonight.
I was in Grand Prairie heading home and I here the tornado sirens going off. All of a sudden, the sky turns dark and the rain starts pouring heavy. I was on 19th street and every car on the road just stopped. Of course, the street lights go out and you can't see were the road is or the lanes so you have no choice. The wind picked up really good and I could feel my car leaning towards the right. Lucky, it died down after a few minutes. I actually got a little scared for a minute from the sirens. I was trying to see if I can spot a tornado, but I couldn't see anything. I'm glad I took a u-turn and headed back to my cousins rather then going to downtown Dallas. I heard it was a lot worse over there.
I work doing valet parking in the stockyards here in fort-worth and it was very nasty, got hailed a couple of times .

Peter: How did I miss you? Was it on the bridge or on land? If it was on the bridge, I probably flew past you fairly quickly. (Kinda hard to regulate speed on that sort of bridge.
BTW, Warren, I wasn't speeding if that's what it sounded I was implying.
