any recommendations

The time has come for me to get my car inspected, but I'm not sure what I should do. I have several things done to the car that will cause it to fail without a hookup.

I'm not trying to get hold of a false inspection sticker... I just need it to pass. I don't have the time or money, however, to replace everything that needs replacing for it to pass. I know that a few of you have probably had this issue before, so anybody have any suggestions?

If u need it to pass im sorry its going to cost you, there is no way around it. I wouldnt advise u to get a fake inspection sticker.

same here, i was running test pipe.

broke down and bought a random tech high flow. teh cost of two years of "fake" inspection and whatnot woudl be more than just getting your car together.

Not trying to be an ass, but if the car won't pass as-is but you want an inspection sticker you are trying to get a sticker illegitimately.

If you have a legitimate reason that you can't afford to fix the car, the state offers assistance. Go to http://www.airchecktexas.com I think it is and they should have some info.

If you have no real reason (i.e. you modified the car) then you are just going to need to fix it so it will pass or you will need to get a sticker illegally.

if you don't wanna spend the money getting the correct parts to pass inspection, looks like you're going to have to find someone to help you get a sticker I have a friend who actually does this for me. Techinaclly it's a legal sticker, it's just that my car wasn't the one being inspected if you know what I mean.

^ No, Brian. Please tell me exactly how you get your inspection stickers illegally.

It's about time the police arrest you for something.

I can't give out all my secrets, cause if I did, then it's not a secret anymore Can't really arrest me for it since it's a legal sticker with all my info on it Plus I have reciepts Even if you look at my sticker on the backside, it'll show all the correct info which makes the sticker legal

You just need someone to plug the OBD cable or sniffer into a clean car. That's all. The problem is that if the station gets found out they will lose their license and likely get fined to hell and back. The state takes inspections very seriously as we have a fair problem with air quality and they deem poorly maintained and modified vehicles as being the primary culprit.

I was being a LITTLE facetious when I asked Brian how he did it.
