***WTB 94-96 Prelude VTEC***

Hi guys. I'm in VA - looking to buy a clean 4th gen VTEC. I am SERIOUS and have CASH. I prefer stock or close to stock vs mods galore. Photos and a detailed description would be greatly appreciated. I need your honest assessment of the car's overall condition including body, suspension, engine, transmission, and clutch since I want to eventually make it daily driver worthy. I will travel a good distance for the right Lude. Thanks and hoping for responses soon!

BUMP . . . search continues

found:

-93 Si with only 111k
-90 Si with 181k

both stock . . . still wanting 94-96 . . . prefer VTEC but can make due with Si . . .

You can buy a 94-96 Si and with the money you save not paying the premium for the VTEC model, you can swap in a H22A anyway.

Just my .02

Thanks - I'll definitely look to go that route - 93 Si was too beaten up as was the 90 si . . . search continues . . .

4th gen vtecs are the ****. They are just as cool as 5th gens IMO. I love both and I know a 4th gen vtec is a hair quicker. It is one of the only hondas I have never driven.

I would recommend getting a 93-95. The 92's use the old R12 coolant and will have to be retrofitted if you ever have to get the a/c worked on. The 96's are obd2

Thanks - greatly appreciate the tips, especially since I'm not familiar w/ 4th gens. How's the RSX-S working out?

I agree - love my 5th gen but think 4th's are awesome too. Just got a lead on a 94 VTEC with 154k so I'm in hot pursuit . . .

If you're serious PM me with some more details/photos. I'm in VA - serious purchaser but kind of picky. Need a clean accident history, very good interior, fairly good exterior, and also need to know current engine/suspension mods. Thanks.

I'd seriously do anything to have my '95 VTEC back...... In many ways, it was the nicest car I've ever owned.... really a fantastic car.

Def try for a 94-95. The interior was updated in the 94's and the 96's have ODBII.
