TW: 1999 Prelude NJ area

Posting to see what kind of prices I can expect...

1999 Honda Prelude Base Model
Nighthawk Black Pearl
5 speed manual
221,8xx miles

Purchased this Prelude back in the summer of 2004 with 126,xxx miles. I am the second owner of this vehicle and have thrown countless of irreplaceable funds into this vehicle. Unfortunately, the vehicle has been in 3 accidents. Hit in the back with previous owner, I hit a telephone in a snow storm, and then got the whole driver side taking out by a Suburban. If that was not a blunder in a 3 month period then the crankshaft pulley took a crap on me. The decision was to have Honda replace the whole long block with a remanufactured unit. The motor came with a 3 year/36,000 miles warranty. So far I put 80,000 miles on the motor. As of now the vehicle is not my daily driver and sits in a garage. Lowered on Koni shock absorbers with Eibach Pro Kit. Been on the vehicle since 2006.

Interior is pretty good, no rating needed, just looks very well maintained for the age and having a child in it as well. Regularly saw a steam cleaner and have since put in OEM 5th gen floor mats.

Recently replaced:
Complete Radius Rods assembly, all four wheel bearings, all four rotors with pads, front lower ball joints, front compliance bushings, front sway bar bushings, front end links, front lower shock bushings, rear trailing arms, rear lower bars, rear sway bar bushings, rear end links, rear lower control arms, radiator with upper and lower radiator hoses, spark plugs, distributor housing seal, air filter, catalytic converter with oxygen sensor by Denso, mid pipe, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, various moldings around the car, various bolts around the engine bay, various things like new power steering reservoir holder, clutch reservoir holder, newer shifter assembly from a wrecked 5th gen. Also have new tires on it. Tires have 12,000 miles on them, Continental Extreme Contact DWS.

Original stereo with no aftermarket speakers. Both front speakers were replaced with OEM replacements recently.

Attention: Will need a timing belt, water pump, I would look into replacing the balance belt, automatic tensioner. Driver side quarter panel is starting to bubble in very small area. I would look into throwing in a new rear subframe. It had to be cut to remove the lower control arm.

Remember what you are buying. A decent mileage Prelude with a low mile motor and complete suspension overhaul.

The wheels in the pictures have been sold. It has original wheels.

Overall, I have countless receipts, original window sticker, and manual and warranty paperwork. All keys including the red key, plus both black keys with 2 fobs.

Pic of when it gets detailed by a reputable detailer of mine.

too many variables. Gonna see what people would pay for it based on what was replaced.

I'm guessing you'll get a lot of low ball offers, if you had a price it might be easier.

You could go outside tomorrow and take some pictures. One picture of the back of a car doesnt tell me much. Plus it doesnt look like a recent picture. It is February and your NJ yard is looking pretty lush. Get some nice pics of the body lines and paint. You said it was involved in three accidents so bodywork would be a concern of mine. Godspeed.

Price is negotiable, car needs a little attention.
