FS: 92 Honda Prelude Si, Unmodified, 5 speed
I am getting a company car and will be letting my 1992 Prelude go after 10 years together. I have had a great time in this car but I need a car that will fit 4 adults.
This car has no mods and is a perfect project car for Prelude enthusiasts. It is a manual transmission, ~128,300 miles, very good condition.
I have all maintenance & repair records since purchase from original owner on 12/23/97 with 59,500 miles. Original owner, an actuary who lives in my neighborhood, bought the car on 12/23/91 and sold it to me in high school with the arrival of their first child. I have most of their routine service records and the original factory checklist from their purchase.
I am located in Metairie, LA (right next to New Orleans, LA). I evacuated in this car for Katrina and it has not had any flood damage.
If you are interested, please make your best offer.
Email questions & inquiries to bnolan02+honda@gmail.com. Photos available on request, too big to post (~900k each). Please see more information on the car below and I look forward to hearing from you.
Pros:
- New radiator, 2 new Firestone Indy 500 Firehawk tires (with nipples!) installed 12/07
- 4 Kenwood 6'' speakers (KFC-1676) in doors & rear, 2 Boss tweeters in dash (TW-17), professionally installed 7/99
- Alpine alarm system (SEC-RC001), installed 6/03, with 2 transmitters
- Replaced timing belt @ 92,000, Summer 2001
- Lifetime alignment contract at Firestone
Cons:
- Vehicle speed sensor works sporadically, an easy $30 fix for a Honda enthusiast with a few free hours on a weekend.
- A/C probably needs to be recharged for summer (depending on your location)
- Spotty electrical ground, another simple fix for someone who knows how
- Rust on edge of sunroof inside rubber seal (No rust on car body!!!)
- CD laser motor does not work in original Honda CD player (i.e. unit powers up and reads 1 track but will not advance to next one)
