Bad Stuff:
- Little bit of cancer (rust) on rear driver side quarter panel (both quarter panels had new metal rewelded and painted in 2005)
- Not a beauty queen (but decent paint for a 17 year old car)
- Started burning oil (blue smoke) and having blow-by at last track event (Pocono Long Course in July 2009)
- Compression test after event showed 200-195-180-200
- Car sat until Dec. 2009, when started, high idle (~2,500) and developed significant oil leak (one of the seals)
- Although compression seems ok, likely needs new rings (appears almost definitely on cylinder #3)
- Would recommend either another used JDM engine or rebuild the bottom end and utilize spare head
- Car has been sitting in my garage since Spring 2010
Why Selling?
I became a father this past year as well as starting a new job. It will be a long time until I will either have the time or money to work on my baby to bring her back to glory. Wife also needs me to sell one of my toys so the prelude is looking for a good home that will help her get back out on track where she wants to run. She is an incredibly well-set up car capable of competitive lap times. Looking for someone to enjoy her as much as I have.
Email: chrisallen76 at gmail.com
Will NOT part out or accept trades. Will NOT deliver. Recommend towing the car home due to oil leak.
