Hi, I am considering selling my 2000 Prelude Type SH, though I have free storage I can put it in so unsure what I would like to do. I don't think i can get enough for what its worth to me. 130,000 miles, Motor is solid, have had zero problems since owning, never did any mods. I am the original owner. Replaced the belts before the recommended mileage, though later thought that may have been Honda getting money from me early. Always use synthetic oil. Was in 2 accidents, both cosmetic. 1st was rear ended by someone, he hit me pretty good, think they replaced the muffler and bumper. Drove away from the accident fine and drove it for a few days until I could get it to a shop my insurance company would use. Fixed that, then I did the same to someone else
Was stopped behind someone at a yield, thought he went, pulled forward and his SUV bumper wrecked my hood and lights, that was a low speed impact, but the height diff sucked. That was fixed by Allstate, but the paint job started chipping 1 year later, see pics.
Exterior has dings and paint chips mentioned above as well as a few others from living in boston, see pics. This has caused 2 small sections with rust, see pics. Passenger handle is crocked/popped out. Everything works fine, but someone tried (and failed yeah honda) to get in.
Interior in very good condition, with the following exceptions: Have to remove head unit to change from hot to cold. I have to hold the cable when sliding the knob, so I change from hot to cold depending on season, and use fan speed to adjust as necessary. Wasn't a problem since I was in Cali, someone would want to fix this here in the northeast. Also missing the plastic cover over the truck release, and missing the plastic foot rest. Removed them to install a system no longer in car and was lazy never put them back, have since misplaced them.
Also removed the bars in the trunk which help open it, not sure what they would be called (Leverage bars?) Removed these as they were rubbing my sub box. Need to use broom stick to keep open
So the engine is solid, but there are many little problems, so really I am more interested in what people think its worth, as I doubt I will/can sell it. I am flying back to Cali so my father is the one who would be in charge of selling it for me which is why I am looking for some input. Thanks
Note: Headlamp is broken in pics, took a rock from the Colorado Rockies. New headlamp has been ordered and will be in soon, so ignore that.
