As much as I love my Prelude

, I am 6'1" and I'm too big and too tall for it, and I'm starting to get some pretty severe back and posture problems from driving it all the time

. My parents have a 1994 Camry they don't use anymore, so if I get a decent offer and the sale goes through, I will drive that around for a while until I figure out what I want to buy, after I'm done studying for my MCATs.

Car Condition
- My Prelude was purchased on September 13, 2000 with 32 miles on the odometer. At that time, I had the dealer install leather seats and spoiler.
- The Prelude has a 7-year, 85,000-mile extended warantee that will be transferred to the new buyer. This gives you more than 4.5 more years and more than 40,000 more miles under the Honda warantee

! Basically, what remains on this warantee is more than what you would get with a new car!
- Car has 41000 miles (mostly highway miles) on it as of February 23, 2002.
- Very well maintained.
- 36,000 mile service was done at 35,000 miles (past Fall 2002). I have the results (passed all tests perfectly) and the records for that.
- Oil change every 2000 miles with 5W30 oil and genuine Honda filter. Also before and after each event with HAMP filter.
- Engine is very unusually strong at 163.1 whp stock, 168.9 whp with AEM intake, most likely because of strict break-in procedure (I did not even drive the car past 4,000 RPM until the first oil change at 3,250 miles by Honda!
- I ran a 14.958 1/4 mile at 94.22 mph when it was stock!
- There was never any suspension problems such as shock knock like other problems. Even with the TEIN suspension with pillowball mounts, I do not hear any knocking sounds!
- All these reasons are why I call my Prelude "Super Prelude Sport"
Details
- The car has been raced, about 5 autocrosses, 4 road course events, and 4 drag race days. Other than those events, the car has been very well taken care of (i.e. I always shift at 3,300 rpm just so I don't wear the car).
- The car is fairly well modified (at least $5,500 into the car). It is the perfect autocross STS car and my mods can be seen
here
- The car's suspension has been cornerbalanced and calibrated very meticulously with driver in the car.
- Non smoker.
Asking Price
$19,000 for everything - Race and street wheel and tire combo, mods, everything listed on my modifications page, except the harness belts which I no longer have. Also, the car will come with
all stock parts that were replaced with high performance parts. This includes stock spring and damper, stock sway bar and endlinks, stock shift knob and boot, stock lightbulbs, stock turn signals and sidemarkers, stock decklid, stock everything! You could make at least $3,000 off selling the the parts and keeping it stock.
$17,000 for stock OEM Honda with OEM mods which would include the leather seats, OEM spoiler, OEM Type-SH decklid, OEM Carbon Fiber trim, etc.
I am willing to ship the car at buyer's expense (approx. $500).
I am not even going to consider parting out until I have a buyer for the stock car (unless you offer me more than what I paid for that part), so please do not even ask. I am not in a hurry to sell the car, and maybe I will never sell it.
