Aside from the other import sites, the only other free one I know of is :

www.autotrader.com

and...

http://classifieds.yahoo.com/

http://classifieds.excite.com

http://www.cars.com

Those are the major ones, but autotrader is the best. Autotrader is how I sold my lude, but I had ads posted on those other three.

Mint '97 nordic mist Type-SH, 47k miles, alarm and CD changer, otherwise stock--$15,500 June, '01...I was hoping for $16,000, but I was happy to get rid of it. It took me about a month to sell it.

I'd advise that you take off what you can. Don't pay someone to swap in your stock springs and shocks, for instance, though. You'll get a more money for the parts alone than you would tacking them onto the price of the car--I can guaruntee you that.

you should work that out when you get a buyer...it's either decucted from the sale price or you pay for it out of pocket, etc.

consult your the financial institution with which the loan is through, but I know for sure they have to be paid off before the title is transferred. What I *believe* happens is the buyer writes the check to the bank or whoever to take the lean off the car, then pays you the difference if any, then the title gets signed over.
