Nothing to do with the layout, just the icon coloring... In it's current setup, it's a tiny bit confusing to use the icon coloring as an indication for a new post or not...
Current setup:
1: New post - Parent or Single Forum -
2: New post - Sub Forum from "Home" page -
3: No New - Parent or Single -
4: No New - Sub Forum -
Would be a touch bit easier to read if the Sub Forum icons were swapped, with blue for both new post icons, and white for both no new post icons, like so:
1: New - Parent/Single -
2: New - Sub -
3: No New - Parent/Single -
4: No New - Sub -
