Passing 'get' parameters to a page

So apparently, we aren't allowed to pass 'get' parameters in an image link, e.g.:
This works:
[i mg]http://www.bob.com/passme.php[/img]

But this doesn't:
[i mg]http://www.bob.com/passme.php?param=5[/img]

The first one shows the graphic, but the second one shows only a hyperlink.

Why?

(Remove the space from the 'img' tag, obviously).

The board is restricted to only allowing direct picture links by design.

It's still sort of a direct picture link... I just need to pass a parameter so that it will know which SN to put as text in the graphic.

So.. no way to work around it? S2Ki accepts it. Can't we make PO take it too?

Passing get parameters to the server isn't going to happen.. sorry. I have the entire webserver locked down on that function, not just PreludeOnline.
