OT: Prelude online Malware site?

Ok so did someone report PO.com as a malware site. now whenever I visit i get an error saying this site contains malware that may be harmful to your computer. WTF Not that I'm concerned if someone could actually manage to get into my PC well that would be a feat. it is still annoying though.

I had that happen last week, AVG Free popped up telling me this was a malicous site. I cleared my browser and tried again and no more pop up. Not sure what prompted it.

It could be banner ads that are hostile. Forums don't usually control those.

Ya could possibly be banner ads, that would make sense.

Twice now i have been hit (at random times) by Defense Centre Trojan/Virus from this site. Something needs looking into. Avast managed to block it the second time though.

For those that have been hit, it's a nightmare but i have managed to remove it using this How to remove Protection Center (Uninstall instructions) | My Anti Spyware

Hi everyone, we found the problem and it has been fixed. Also, we have put some new security measures in place to help prevent this from happening again.

Let me know if there is any thing else you might need.

I'm getting more threat alerts. So that's two different virus scanners picking things up from here in the past month.

"Danger: AVG Active Surf-Shield has detected active threats on this page and has blocked access for your protection.
The page you are trying to access has been identified as a known exploit, phishing, or social engineering web site and therefore has been blocked for your safety. Without protection, such as that in the AVG Security Toolbar and AVG, your computer is at risk of being compromised, corrupted or having your identity stolen. Please follow one of the suggestions below to continue.

URL: qqq.losnigerad.com/j/index.php
Name: Phoenix Exploit Kit (type 1112)"

Edit: Got a huge malware attack. It went through. Different source. Something keeps jumping in to PO, hopefully the admins will be a little more thorough.

In case anyone else gets it:

You'll get a stupid malware called "AV SECURITY SUITE". If you do, please realize it is fake and not a real scanner. I can definitely see how someone can be tricked because the threat alerts this spoof-scanner gives you are real messages and it blocks exe files from running, ie any virus scanner, malware software you may dl, etc etc.

Please see below for steps on how to remove:

How to remove AV Security Suite (Uninstall Guide)

Also, here:

Remove AV Security Suite [Removal Guide]

And, here:

Remove AV Security Suite, removal instructions
