increase sig size

to 30k? 20k is hard to make things into detail and pretty. Its only one more second of download for 56k.

yea, multiple that 1 more second by 20 users on that page and they have to wait an extra 20 seconds! i dont really care since i have a cable modem but it would really suck for those 56k people.

No... Big sigs make a site look trashy, and makes it harder to navigate threads.

you misunderstand. we are talking about the file size of the sig picture. not the dimensions. it will be the same size but better quality with 30k.

I have cable internet.
I use the vb3 style because less images loading renders faster.
Since sigs are hosted outside po.com, if someone's server is SLOW, and their sig is big, the rest of the goddamn page won't load or render in IE until the frigging picture is loaded completeley, or the operation times out.
This is unfortunate behavior on the part of IE, but slow page loading is INFURIATING. I've turned off sigs before beacuse someone had a real slow host, and it made EVERY thread they posted in load slow. That **** sucks. 20k isn't too small, esp with the allowable image size.
I sure don't want to start seeing a lot of animated *.gif files and crap like that.
