yes.... the piston has to be on TDC.....
but IT HAS TO BE ON THE COMPRESSION STROKE!!!!!
that is the important part....
the piston may be up, but on the Exhaust stroke....
he also failed to at least mention you have to remove the
PCV valve when doing a cylinder leakage to get an accurate reading..... not removing the PCV valve can throw off the person from actually finding the leak...
he did, however, mention on comment number 8.... both valves need to be shut... meaning the compression stroke.... so it gives somewhat an idea.... but i HIGHLY recommend making the change anyways....
