Zex Install : Need Help

Well, I bought a used zex kit. It came with the following

The NMU, the bottle, and the steel line w/ gauge

It did not come with an instruction manual so Im kind of stuck.

3 wires. Red, White, Black

I'm guessing the red is for power . black is for ground and white is for the TPS?

What kind of tubes do I need? Size?

Also, how do I drill the intake,w/ wat size drill? Do I need a nozzle? All i have is a metal part with a big hole, not at the tip but on one side.

Can anyone link me to the zex install manual or show me pictures on the install? Please help me.. Thanks

What kind of spark plugs do i need?

I've read the stickies, but I cant find any help on the zex install. The one that is there is gone.

arg...Why is there some weird liquid thing in my pressure gauge? Its clear, but it moves around slowly. Like it doesn't seem like water..would it be the nitrous? If so, how would i get that out too?

Scroll down to scanned install pages.

Also, make sure you don't do something stupid like my friend and wire the purple smart box backwards so nitrous engages at WCT and not WOT and blow your engine.

i believe the liquid in your gauge is normal... i'm not exactly sure about the technical specifications of why the liquid is in there, but i do know guages do have that sometimes.

The "liquid" inside the gauge is glycerine that's supposed to help it withstand engine vibrations and that kinda stuff.

Thats all I got from the guy. With the Bottle and mounting brackets.

Is this what I need to put in the intake? Whats the bung? Is there another thing that I need to attach to the tip of the picture in order to do only a 50 shot? Also, if it is the thing you put in the intake, which way should the open hole be facing? Something doesn't seem rite.

Also, if the white wire is for the TPS ... Which wire would be for the arming switch? I'm so confused now =(

I wish I had the instruction manual, would be so much easier.

After taking it apart, I found this.

Thats the thing that regulates the 50 shot rite?
But which way do I make the open hole face? Towards the filter or to the TB?

Its been awhile since I chnaged jets but I'm almost positive that the open face points to the TB. The part with the pin hole on it faces the intake. It should only fit one way though.

Go to the zex website and there's a tech help number. Call em up, they're pretty cool, they stayed on the phone with me for a half an hour helping me with my zex,.

Also, how do I drill the intake,w/ wat size drill? Do I need a nozzle? All i have is a metal part with a big hole, not at the tip but on one side. From the pic you posted it looks like you have the nozzle, you need a 1/16 NPT tap to drill into your intake and to install the nozzle

Can anyone link me to the zex install manual or show me pictures on the install? Please help me.. Thanks Pics are coming....

What kind of spark plugs do i need? One step colder plugs for a 50-55 shot, two step colder for 65-75 shot (ngk's work)

I've read the stickies, but I cant find any help on the zex install. The one that is there is gone.

Also, if it is the thing you put in the intake, which way should the open hole be facing? Something doesn't seem rite. That is the nozzle, when you unscrewed it you saw the nitrous pill, that is what you use to control the amount of n20 that is sprayed. On the NMU there is a bung that says regulator (i think) it is the lower right bung, unscrew that and you will see the pill to control the amount of fuel. Below is the pill requirements per shot:
-------------------------55hp------------65hp---------75hp
Nitrous Jet--------------32---------------35------------38
Fuel Jet-----------------36--------------34-------------32
Ignition Retard----------0----------------2--------------4

Also, if the white wire is for the TPS ... Which wire would be for the arming switch? I'm so confused now =( Red is power, that means that it goes to the switch, remember a switch supplies power when it is on/armed

I wish I had the instruction manual, would be so much easier.

Good Luck
