Ok so then my initial perception was right..( I didn't waste all that electronics training... whew... ) I see what you are saying now.. ( I just couldnt say positively how it worked cause I didnt knwo what kind of relays they were using.. but I assumed thats why the relays were tied into the other stage wiring and whatnot... ) but.. you can have the setup you mentoned before.. but in essence and electrically speaking.. all you are doing is taking out one switch in the equation and you would be shutting off the other stage.. I think theeir setup ( NOS ) is ideal and would work well.. other than the pushbutton.. I am in agreement with you on this one Kris.. I would go with what you suggest a toggle that you turn on and thats it.!! Good luck are you going to have this one B4 the NOS vs FI day??

This is my winter break project, but it will only be jetted at a 50 and 75 shot until I get my fuel system done. A good friend of mine wants to go to CA for Spring Break, but I'm not sure how everything will work out yet cash wise. I should be able to get away with just the second stage, a VAFC, and tuning.
Oh yeah the part number for the relay is 15605-S.
Definately gonna sell it, along with the gauge cluster. Just turned 23K with tranny drained and filled every 2K since 8K. I have never noticed any change in fluid, or anything in the fluid. I have no reason to believe the tranny is in anything but pristine condition. Don't really know what to ask, probably 2-2.5 K
You could get a 2 stage switch in that the first stage is up middle is off and down is second stage it would be very easy to adapt to the the diagram. I just put a push button on there because that is what nos has.
What I will most probably do is like you laughin is put a flip switch for the second stage instead of a push button, but I have been toying with the idea of a push button that is not momentary. (hence stays down once depressed until you pull it up)
I dunno though I got some other things I wanna get finished before I consider a 2 stage anyways.
I have a question about the logistics of when the switch to a second stage is best. lets say a 55 to 85/100 shot.
Would you want to switch over at a certain rpm say top of 3rd? Or just make the switch going from 2nd to 3rd.
I'm asking because I'm sure you guys have more experience with the traction issues. Right now im spraying a weak (600psi ... when i recover from christmas cash depletion I will finally get a heater) 65 zex shot and I break traction in second bigtime, but 3rd I have full traction.
Looking for some input. I may get a highly discounted NX DP kit and since I already have my zex installed I thought I might just install both and run a 2 stage.

It's going to depend on track conditions, tires, and suspension. Logically you are going to want to go to the 2nd stage as soon as possible while still keeping traction. In other words, I can't give you a set answer.
one neet idea that would make it alot easier to switch between the two kits would be to install a relay onto the horn wiring in the bumper in a way that lets the horns work normally when the arming switch for the nitrous is off, but the moment the nitrous is armed the horn now becomes the second stage trigger. work like a charm on a friends integra.....
