Calm down girl....he must be an "overall" Lude newbie in that he doesn't know the power of h23 auto. I have witnessed it on many occasions....and had my 97 SS get its ass handed to it several times. You see...the 4th gens aren't all electronically controlled....main one being the torque convertor. So she can stall it up to 3k at the line and launch...instead of just sitting there at like 1800 and punching it. 4th Gen Auto > 5th Gen SS

great job for a slush-box!

Just an fyi- you are not the only 3 ppl on here with a 4th gen with Nitrous. I have a 95 Si 5 spd with a NOS kit, 50 shot dry.

Your car is not performing by some crazy rarity...I would say its pretty standard. I run the same 1/4 ETs with a SMALLER shot than what you have(plus dry vs. wet) on the slush-box...not to mention I have a JUN ultra-lightweight flywheel which sucks for launches and all season Toyo Proxes that are working against me.

Ask anyone that's been on this board for a while though...they all know me. My 4th gen came in at about 4th place at the Prelude meet at Talladega. The cars ahead of me: RSX Type S (with a bad ass driver), S2000, and my buddy's 4th gen VTEC. Everyone there can vouch for my 4th gen being pretty fast. (This is without nitrous on the road course also)

More importantly...Preludes DO NOT GO FAST IN A STRAIGHT LINE.
My car however will whip some ass on a road course....what Preludes are meant for.

Congrats on your times with the Nitrous...just don't let it go to your head. I hope that you have the money for a new tranny very soon.

Brad

I'd like to clear a few things up about the NPM and Eu4ik, as well as point out a couple things.
1. I believe Jason(Mugenlude, owns the black 5G) passed the 4G VTEC on the road course. The only reason that I remember this is because he was saying how hard it was to catch up to him.
2. The road course was not a race. Passing was only allowed on the straights and with consent of the person being passed or via instruction from the flaggers
3. Rachel/Eu4ik is not a cocky person. Not by a long shot. She does get a bit heated when someone doubts what her car can do. Furthermore, she knows where she stands in the grand scheme of things. I mean her BF's car runs low 12s for Pete's sake.
4.
Now, saying that preludes do not go fast in drag racing is just wrong. mid-12s on street tires is fast when it comes to FWD cars. There is a prelude with drag radials, i.h.e, and spray running 12s. Besides when you make statements like that somebody will prove you wrong.

Everybody here will be helpful and polite to everybody else(ie. don't use caps, people interpret it as yelling).

aneurysm-put your **** in the e/t sticky. all we have to go off of is the info that ppl have responded with. i KNOW my car isnt the ****. im the one that knows it the most. im freaking happy about what its doing. from 17.5s last year WITH intake and exhaust, down to a 14 flat. [shot of 85whp].

go dyno your car and show me the whp you are gaining, because when i say im running a this or that shot, thats obviously NOT to the wheels. which is why the dyno and i meet so often. and you say you are on toyo proxes? well im on yokohama avs es100s, so now what? mine are probably worse than yours, these are about as bad as the kumho 712s.

and, about your 'preludes do not go fast in a straight line' - thats just ignorant. do you realize that not all of us just like autoX? i personally hate autocross because, for one, youdont get a lot of track time, and two, you never get going fast. SO if you'll take a gander at my sig, youll notice that its my car.. and whats that? its on a road race course. that was me in june at hallett here in oklahoma. i want 1/4 track time to see how much improvement has been made to the car each time i do something, and then i want to go out and actually just drive it. i'll say it like ive said it about 500 times, ill have my cake, and ill eat it too. you cant tell me anythign isnt meant for this or that. ill just turn around and prove you wrong, just because i can, and its fun.

about the tranny- here you go again, thinkin i havent already thought about this. i have 5speed h23 tranny with a brand new clutch waiting to be installed. why havent i installed it? because i want to get better times with the auto. i bet youll be pretty upset to hear im also going turbo. all i need now is a wastegate and fuel management, and im set.

im sure you will assume that ill still be running my massive shot with the boost, and youll probably assume ill be running like 14psi on my stock internals too. you go right on ahead and do that just like everyone else.

tired of people being so negative about my car. everyone thinks that im just doing this without knowing wtf im doing. think what you want, and ill go on to the 13s with my ultra superior 4th gen auto si with 17'' heavy ass rims wtih crappy tires.

btw, lets see some dyno sheets aneurysm. and some 1/4mile slips would be nice too. so you enjoying your dry shot? hah.. and youre telling me to watch out for my tranny.. how bout you watch out for your damn engine. you sound like everyone else that says a 50 shot is 50 to the wheels. have fun leaning out your engine. trust me on this one, it really appreciates it....

edit- i just saw that youare a 5 speed. whats your best time off the bottle? mines a 15.8, and i havent seen that since it was 60 degrees colder outside. im consistent low 16s now. so now what hm?
