Why Don't They Use Regulators For Nitrous, Like Propane?

Since keeping the pressure up w/ a bottle heater is such a big issue, and consistency is hard when the bottle's almost empty....

Why don't nitrous companies use an inline regulator to keep the pressure steady throughout the bottle's life.....since the pressure would be constantly held lower, you would simply run a bigger jet to compensate. This would make for much more consistent setups.

Any thoughts?

The n2o might not atomize with the fuel as well at lower pressures. I would think that the faster the n2o is coming out of the nozzle the more it will break up the fuel coming out of the nozzle resulting in better atomization. However I could be completely wrong on this and a lower pressure setup could atomize better.

The greater the pressure drop, the greater the temperature drop.

I think the fact of the matter is that keeping the temperature/pressure up with a bottle heater simply isn't an issue. There are pressure regulated bottle heaters out there that are affordable and work.

it's only in issue when you don't have one

but seriously, you can pick up a dynotune bottle heater for pretty cheap, and it has and adjustable pressure regulator.
