ok i want to mount the bottle in the middle back seat where the little console is
my question is , is this illegal ? i was going to just mount it until my friend was like i wouldnt do that cuz a cop can give you a ticket yada yada yada
I see a good amount of people with them mounted inside and in trunk etc...... just figured id ask before i go puttin holes in the back haha thanks guys.
It depends on where you are I guess because I'm not sure if the laws in every state, but here you definitley are not allowed to have nitrous in the car without being on a track (I think). Anyway, I think it would be a very bad idea since if in case anything happens, it's going to explode within the cabin - where YOU ARE. For hatchbacks, people are required to have these blow-down tubes so that the escaped nitrous would just leak outside the car.
If you really want to do it, go for it, but it's such a bad idea.

only thing is, bottle says nitrous on it, cop wont probally believe me if i tell him its filled with c02 hehe, i guess ill have to check it out b4 i mount this bottle.
if i do mount it in the trunk is there a certain spot thats best with the whole weight distribution etc... ??
I think the scoop in MD is that you can have the bottle in the car, but it must be turned off while driving. Prety sure it must also be out of driver reach, so that in theory you'd have to get out to turn on the bottle. Of course that law existed before remote openers.
last I knew in md you could only have it in the car if you were transporting it, it couldnt be on the "rack" or have any lines hooked up to it..... nothing a call to the state police station couldnt hurt, other then you know there gonna be a ass about it
