What would happen if I Sprayed While having low compression?

I did a compression test and the #s were 135-140 in each cylinder. what would happen if I ran a 50 shot?

If you have low compression due to internal damage, any shot would most likely end the semi-life of your motor. If you're compression is lowered due to a mechanical rebuild, you should be fine. Just dont expect as much power as your higher CR buddies. The higher the compression, the more 'effective' the nitrous shot is.

Yes, if your engine is stock with those kind of numbers, don't even THINK about nitrous. It will rapidly trash what is left of your weak point, whether it be the rings or valves.

Yeah, but I don't see why he'd want to run nitrous if he purposely has that low of compression. If his motor is lacking somewhere, such as the places wreck mentioned, nitrous would be a catastrophic disaster to the engine.

You don't use the gas pedal when doing a compression test..... at least I don't anyway...

You HAVE to use the gas pedal. You have to pull the fuse to the fuel pump first. If you don't have it at WOT, with the butterfly to the TB all the way open, you are going to get much lower numbers.

my friend wanted to 'loan' me his n20 setup from his 'tegra. I was actually thinking about it till i realized i would rather just wait for my turbo to be fixed. I have a lowered CR motor, so it is justifible that he could want to find out with having a built motor. Chances are, he doesnt, but i just wanted to clarify both points for 'search' purposes.
