Thats the same thing I'll be doing with mine. I just want it for the timing control retard and the window switch. You don't have to use the progressive control and you won't cause any extra wear and tear on your solenoids if you don't use it.

thats what i though, that would basically take the place of an MSD ignition... right? or would I still need both since I have an OBD2?

I gotcha. Well I'm not sure what the deal is with NOS. I do know though that in the install manual it says the jets we are using are equal to 85 bhp. So I guess that would be about 75 whp with drivetrain loss.

Yea according to the DP instructions, mine is a 85 shot.No dyno around here so who knows. Gave up using mine half way through the summer due to noid abuse.

all these people running VAFC's. are these setups tuned because i thought with a vafc you have to have precise tuning.

I had the VAFC tune prior to installing the kit.. but I have a different kit.. that enrichens the mixture for you.. so I might be a bit different.. but all in all.. those who have a VAFC.. dont lean it out to the point that when they spray they'll be causing detonation.. you can still see some gains.. and it also adjusts the VTEC crossover point which also helps out. FOr the most part.. I am pretty sure they are all tuned.. you can't really see any good gains from it unless it is tuned properly.
