what a difference!!

so i decided to see what a difference bottle temp would play...and so i filled my bathtub up with hot ass water and put my bottle in there for an hour or so...when i took it out it was very warm don't know the pressure cause i don't have my gauge set up yet...but anyways i took her for a test run and man it was def. like night and day...its bottle heater time for jeff hehehe...oh and padge i weighed my bottle...i had almost 20 pounds so i know i only sprayed 10 times or so but they weren't full sprays...just short ones...like through 2nd and some of third. but yes in do time after i get my pressure gauge up and going its bottle heater time for me

Doesn't the Zex kit also have some feature that it reads the bottle pressure and adjusts the amount of nitrous or something making it the worlds only "Smart" System

see that's what i was thinking because after all those sprays that i did...i still had almost 20 lbs of bottle weight which means that since my pressure was down, it must have not sprayed as much nitrous in my car...well that's what i think at least.

im thinking of the speedshop bottle heater...i mean only 150 brand new and like some of the guys were saying that they sometimes post em up on ebay...and this heater goes by bottle pressure so i will know that this heater will heat up the bottle until the right bottle pressure not by temp which may not produce as much pressure

Allof the ones from speedshop are pressue controlled.. unless you just buy the heater for 90.00 .. then you supply your own way of controlling the heater. But I don't knwo of anyone who woudl do this.. unless they are buying it to replace an existing one that doesnt work...therefore saving them from buying a whole new one.

really so if i had pressure gauge and i wanted to watch the pressure myself i could just get the heater for 90 bux?!! that's a heck of a lot better than 150....hmmm what is the other part? i mean the regulator that monitors the pressure....can you buy the other part afterwards?

i think it's worth the extra money for an accurate automatic on/off switch, or at least it is to me.

the other part is a pressure switch... on when its a certain pressure.. off when its a certain pressure.

Your just asking for trouble if you buy just a heater. None of us are perfect and sometimes get distracted in everyday life, if this happens while your heater is on, bad things are gonna happen! Best case scenerio is the heater builds to much pressure and just pops the burst disc and you lose your bottle of nitrous, if not that lucky, high pressure could damage noids before the disc goes. If your luck really sucks that day, the burst disc could fail to do its job and your bottle becomes a mini nuclear device requiring you to donate your car to the scrap yard. Nitrous is something that you should never cut corners with, if you do, eventually it will come back to haunt you! Do what you want, but if you cheap out on this, expect no sympathy from us when you have troubles.

ive seen some scary pics of a guy who left his heater on in his garage.
EVERYTHING was torched, scary stuff.

just do what you want, but make sure you do it right.

I have a question about pressure triggered heaters. From looking at it, the pressure tap for the heater is in nozzle which means you haev to open your bottle for the heater to work. That is what I am assuming. At the track I could see this working just fine, but if I am just out cruising and want to keep my bottle high pressure, but im not necessarily going to spray, I don't want to really open the bottle unless im going to use it.

I'm thinking about going for a temp controlled unit for this reason. That way I can watch my guage and make sure I have good pressure but i think the control unit won't let the bottle get too hot if i forget and leave it on.

I dunno any thought?

Problem with heating a bottle just in case is, unless you have a bottle gauge you can see from the drivers seat, you may overpressurize your bottle, especially if a new fill. Then your risking noid damage if you do decide to use it, even the possibility of running leaner than usual due to the high pressure.

Yes, but a mechanical one will be slightly off and cause you to waste more nitrous while purging.
